Works great, however the black locator gets stuck in certain places and others spots it moves freely. If you tug slightly on the end it will continue around.

Unfortunately the black plastic sliding piece on the wheel came broken and I'll need to superglue it back together. This should be shipped in its own box rather than in a thin plastic sleeve to protect the delicate sliding piece. The laminated sheet with the guitar chords is helpful to have on hand while practicing.

This is a cool little circle of fifths. Thru the years I had a few and usually they are either too big and bulky or too small to see yet this one I find to be perfect. Doesnt take up much room at all on my desk yet large enough to be easily seen at a glance. Once you learn how to use one of these they become invaluable. I can set this up for the A major scale and then with a glance know all the chords in the second degree of the scale which would be B Dorian. The more you use it the more you will learn it can do and it will become invaluable to your playing also. Well worth the 5 star rating!

Review for Circle of Fifths Wheel and Piano Chord Chart from HETOETF: The wheel is a nice rigid plastic... the white writing on the purple is easy to see (altho I would have preferred a black wheel). The chart is laminated and is 8 5/8" by a little over 12". The lamination has a few bubbes under it and I wish they had thought ahead on the sizing, so it wasn't over 12" tall. I teach piano, and will use these upon occasion, but for someone who doesn't know much about music theory, (a beginner) they would find these totally confusing. I have not gone over every detail to double check accuracy.

Well, the laminated chord sheet is nice. It has two sides; one with chord progressions and the other with eight different chords within the same basic chord - offering major, minor, 7th, m7th, 6th, m6th, sus4 and diminished (a bit odd it doesn't have sus2 though...?). And the circle of Fifths wheel itself is quite nice - very sturdy and strong. It has the major I, IV, V chords, corresponding minor chords and the major 7th on the outside. And the back shows you the root key you'd be playing in with the framed chords on the other side. The problem? The plastic frame piece that spins around. It's clearly pretty weak as mine was broken on arrival. And looking at it closer, it's rather thin and made from easily cracked plastic (feels like ABS maybe?), so drop it once and it's likely to break then too. Of course, it's usable without that frame, just a little harder to corral the chords and key you want. And that's a bit disappointing given how nice the other two parts of this kit are. Would be five stars except for the weak framing piece.
