  • Nice little table
Needed a small table for two on our deck. This is a nice little table, attractive and functional. Easy to assemble and has feet that can adjust for height. 4 stars because the finish could be a little nicer but the price was right.

  • OK... not great. Assembly is annoying. Not sturdy or easy to sit at.
I wanted a pair of bistro tables so I could have "socially distant" dinners on my screened in porch. I have an acacia wood side table and love the look of the rich grain and solid feel so I was hoping this table would be similar. It is not -- it is more like a cheap pine with some dirty gray stain slapped on for a "weathered" effect. Assembly is, in theory, very straight forward. The legs are supposed to slide into each other at a 90-degree angle and sliding into a notch. Unfortunately, the notch was not wide enough... wound up having to take a hammer to pound the send leg into the notch... and even at that, the cross pieces that were supposed to screw into the top had did not touch the top -- there was about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap. Also getting the screws in and lining them up to the holes "blind" was tricky -- my suggestion: do NOT tighten any of the screws all the way. Lay the table upside down on an elevated surface so you can look between the leg and the top of the table to visually line up the screws with the holes... once you have all the screws seated loosely in the holes, then tighten everything up. It is not a heavy table -- that has plusses and minuses. Plus -- easy to move. Minus -- easy to knock over and not very sturdy. Finally, because of the "+" configuration of the legs at the bottom, it is impossible to sit facing the table because there isn't enough room between the legs to get close. Or you can sit with one each leg straddling a leg of the table .. and then hope you don't accidentally knock the table hard enough to tip it over. If you sit with the table to your side, then you are ok... but not really conducive for eating out on the porch -- just drinking coffee etc. For 100 bucks, I would have expected better quality. Those expectations have not been met. To add insult to injury -- I ordered these tables because I wanted to be able to have dinner with my son on his 21st birthday. As I said, I ordered a pair -- only one arrived in time for our dinner. I wound up getting a marble bistro table from World Market that is much better made, will withstand the weather elements better and was only 50 bucks more than this table made out of wood scraps with Dog knows what kind of chemical treatments!
