I ordered them in a natural color. They are thick, but they were delivered wrinkled. One of the packages was open and stuck to the curtains. I tried ironing them but the wrinkles remained. To make matters worse, as soon as I opened the package there was a pungent smell that made me feel sick to my stomach. The ChrisDowa blackout curtains do what they claim. They block strong lights. They perform good temperature insolation. Here in Florida during late November we close the curtains one night to keep the AC from getting condensation on our sliding doors and to keep out the chill on another night. The curtains do their job. However, the fabric is very stiff and the corners lack weights which make for an unruly draping. The curtains billow out sharply at the bottom especially when they are drawn back to let light in. We have other blackout curtains that are more flexible and with bottom corner weights in other rooms and they hang straight up and down whether open or closed. Letting them hang for 10 days before writing this did not see them relax. The attached picture shows them out of a gentle wash and dry and a needed iron touch up. ... show more

These curtains cover the light very well and I want to see a little clarity in the day, that was the reason for returning it. I also didn't like that the fabric feels a little plastic and heavy and doesn't drape.

They don’t feel cheap, actually they are very thick and have a good weight to them. Great color, great feel to it. I got these for our guest room but looks like I’m buying a set to replace our main room. Also I really appreciate that these are really wide but not super tall so they fit our 4’x8’ windows perfectly. It’s hard to find curtains of this size and they happen to be well priced. I was very excited for these curtains to arrive as online they looked to have all that I was looking for. While the color, grommets and being blackout checked my boxes, the overwhelming odor and stiff feeling fabric turned it into an absolute NO for me. These were meant to be for my living room but even after 2 washes, not only will these curtains blackout the room but also my guest senses. I will go to the department store for an alternative as these curtains have left me too traumatized to order another set of drapes online. ... show more

These curtains look great and have a nice thick material. They are indeed blackout material, even the light beige color. I like the way they hang with pleats evenly spaced. I’m very pleased with the quality and I’ll be buying a set for another room.
