Material and finish: The fabric feels thick and high-quality to the touch. It's not your typical plastic material; they have an elegant drape, and the grommets are sturdy, making them very easy to hang on the rod. Thermal insulation: I've noticed that they help maintain a more stable room temperature by blocking the heat that usually comes in through the window during the afternoon. Exact measurements: The set of two 42 x 84-inch panels fits perfectly, covering the window aesthetically. Installation: It's super easy. Just thread the rod through the grommets, and you're done. Excellent blackout curtain, very durable and quite affordable. I work graveyard, so day sleeping is an imperative. I tried other brands from a big box store because they were cheap. I got what I paid for. Seams were separating after a week, couldn't get the creases out, they said 100% blackout but barely blocked 25% of sunlight. I bought these on a wing and a prayer and as usual, the Amazon vendor was superior in every way. Made for idk what, Hurricane"s? Maybe cruise ships in the Bering Strait? These things are durable yet still maintain the fashionabllity you want in your bedroom curtains. They block 110% of the sunlight and cost less than the box store when you calculate the whole scenario. The length is perfect and as advertised, simple to install and the fabric is soft not like military canvas. Excellent bang for your buck. *NB: I bought some two sided tape for the center, just in case, there was no issue. And I also purchased magnetic tape for each end because I'm neurotic as heck, but wow, my bedroom is as dark as a Buffalo's buttonhole, at High Noon with the sun beating down on my bedroom window. Great value and quality, true blackout functionality. These have a black back which I didn't want, but I didn't pay enough attention to the listing to catch that detail. These are a little more toward blue than true navy to me. These had no odd smell, the fabric quality is good, it feels like they will provide good insulation against the cold and hopefully the heat too since I have a blind in front of them that might help keep the sun off the black back.
