This item looks pretty much exactly like the photo. It's almost full length; the sleeves are only 3/4 length but the shoulder cut is so boxy that they fall farther down the arm and can be rolled a bit if you want. The fabric feels like cotton- it's not see through but it is very SLIGHTLY sheer- you can maybe see a person's silhouette in full sunlight. It's not a flattering item right out of the bag- there is no shape to it whatsoever, it's literally a big rectangle- but I can see the fabric softening a bit after a couple washes which will make it fall better on the body. It will be perfect as a sun cover up and can be dressed up a bit to go straight to dinner with a belt or scarf around the waist and some nice sandals. Be aware, it is LONG. ... show more

This dress is great. The fabric is quality and not see through. .just a slight touch of the iron ro make it office ready, or not and it's beach ready. I wear with a wide camel belt and platform sandals...and get compliments every time!! Seriously, strangers be like "that outfit is amazing!" I bought this dress to wear around the house in the summer on hot days. The fabric is light and somewhat see-through but the stripes detract from what is underneath and so I don’t wear a slip. I wanted something light and cool and I didn’t want it to stick to me, rather have air flow through. It’s perfect for that. I bought a large and I like it for its roominess which adds to the comfort. I tried belting it but there’s too much fabric and it doesn’t lay right, I would say it’s best worn loose. I decided to sleep in it and used it as a night shirt, also very comfortable for that purpose. Sewn well, no loose threads or sloppy stitching. Washed wonderfully and did not need ironing. I am 5’ 2 and 145 lbs and bought a large. A medium would have fit just fine but I wanted the extra loose look. It came down to my ankles but I’m not tripping over it. I will wear this dress for years to come and it would also be perfect as a cover up for the beach, something to throw on after a shower while styling your hair and putting in make up, lounging around in, cooking/baking, laying in a couch to read or stitch. It’s very comfortable and loose without looking sloppy. The price is a great value. I would purchase this dress again on another color. It has pockets too!!! ... show more

I bought this for a beach bachelorette trip to wear with my baby bump and it’s perfect! It’s definitely see through, so wear a slip or use it as a beach coverup over a bathing suit.
