Following the size chart. I'm usually between an M and L but had to get an XL (disappointing!) but I don't like when things hug so tight you can see every bump and lump. In a pattern, it'd probably be less noticeable but with the pink or the light gray, for example, you can see it all - ever panty line and all the curves you don't want to accentuate. It's comfortable and cool for summer which is also something I wanted. material is a bit thin but that too, I expected for something cool. Is shapely around the girls but mine dont' droop an excessive amount so not sure how it'd fit with everyone.
