Food Labels That Really Hit The Spot If You Own a Small Business!!
Style: Dispenser Set
I cannot tell you how many times we purchase meats that are on sale at the store, put them in the freezer and then down the road we constantly take whatever is sitting at the front of the freezer and then we have no clue how old something is when we pull it out months later. These labels are great because they solve this problem and they also make it where we can use these for our rotating food for our upcoming small business as well.

I'm actually looking forward to cleaning out, defrosting &...
Style: Dispenser Set
..reorganizing my freezer & refrigerator spaces. And about the only thing 'domestic' about me is (like the late Phyllis Diller whose clever quip this is) I was born in this country (the USA)! I ordered these Sutter Signs Deli Dots Labels to use to label food in my freezer & refrigerator spaces at home. I live in a rural area of the USA (my neighbors raise a lot of chickens & turkeys for the nation & for export). 'Out here' we grow, raise, make & 'put by' a lot of our own foods in our home pantries for the winter months (bad weather happens to us all). Or as a single adult person, I will repackage sale priced family-sized packages of meats & cheeses from the chain grocery stores or big box retailers for better portion control & easier meal preparation as well as stocking my pantry. And we have all had the unfortunate experience of our perishable foods going bad or getting shoved to the back of these wonderful electrified cooling boxes & turn into expensive & inedible unintentional science experiments. So as long as I am cleaning these spaces out, now is an excellent time to introduce some organization & tighter control of what frozen & refrigerated foods I store so from now on much less of what I buy becomes expensive food waste (sadly meats & cheeses are not compostable). There are 7 different color-coded, bilingual (English & Spanish) 1" (~2.5cm) food dot stickers / labels in this label dispenser set ( I understand they were designed for labeling sandwiches & other delicatessen type items for the food service industry). They are: Brown: Beef (Carne de Vaca) Red: Ham (Jamon) Pink: Turkey (Pavo) Orange: Chicken (Pollo) Yellow: Cheese (Queso) Green: Vegetarian (Vegetariano) Blue: Tuna (Atun) Aesthetically these labels look terrific, color-coding them is a simple but smart idea. There is sufficient space on the label to write a bit more like a 'sell by or 'packaged on' date & a portion size or weight. Because it's an adhesive paper label you could use a ballpoint pen instead of a marker or Sharpie pen to write on the label (writing directly on plastic with a marker or Sharpie sometimes results in more ink on your hands than the plastic zippered storage 'freezer' bag plus it smudges). Better, clearer & more durable labelling is terrific for actually carrying out FIFO (first in first out) in your home refrigerator & freezer spaces. The cardboard dispenser box is also well designed for easy use & is very attractive to look at. The 1 label / sticker type I personally am least likely to use in this dispenser set is Tuna (or any kind of fish & seafood, it's not USDA inspected, much of it is endangered, I'm allergic to a lot of it & what I am not allergic to I dislike). Who could use these labels besides delis, sandwich shops & restaurants? How about butcher shops (there are 3 excellent ones in my rural county alone, each also sells deli meats & 2 out of 3 of them make to go sandwiches at lunch time). And we also have many small grocery stores & country stores about half of which also have a deli counter & make to go sandwiches & other take out foods But to cater to butcher shops & these smaller grocers I think I would be making labels like Pork & Fish/Seafood. So maybe there needs to be a deluxe label dispenser set with 8, 9 or even 10 different labels included in the box? 4.5 out of 5 stars for this label dispenser set: to make this a 5 star set for me, I would replace Tuna with Pork (the other white meat) in my perfect label dispenser set (hint hint, please make an 8th Pork label, because pork chops, pork cutlets, pork tenderloin & also yummy Cuban sandwiches & if you're feeling adventurous a 9th Bacon label because BACON is a Virginia delicacy as is our ham).
