My little peanut finally outgrew his infant seat so we purchased another brand's convertible carseat. The other brand was supposed to be rear facing to 50 or 60 lbs but had no leg room for my incredibly tiny son who isn't on the charts. We were concerned about safety if G-d forbid we were in an accident since his legs were extended with no legroom so we returned that seat and ordered this one. This seat appealed to me for many reasons, extended rear facing, safety features, ease of installation, FAA approved, light(ish) weight and easy cleaning (because toddlers....). When it arrived I watched a quick installation video on YouTube (and 2x speed) and amazingly had it installed in less than 2 minutes! I was especially impressed with how clear and easy installation was, because as a parent safety is most important and i like knowing the carseat is properly installed. I love that this seat offers multiple reclining levels for both front and rear facing allowing you to get the perfect fit for your little one. It is well padded and extremely comfortable for my little guy, offers him plenty of legroom (unlike the last seat we purchased) and is nice and breathable (we live in a warm climate). This is a wonderfully sturdy car seat and we never worry about putting our toddler in it, however it’s very heavy! If you’re a frequent flyer and need to check it, give extra time to haul. Materials are not very soft. Shoulder straps are not even (one will have slack while the other will be taught). Buckles fall below baby, buckles constantly twist on the straps. Bought this after reading about it on consumer reports, my wife went with the nuna. She can get our kiddo in and out of the nuna faster and easier than I can using the next fit zip max. This carseat is a little more to the expensive side but TOTALLY worth it! Very soon after we bought it he had a blowout in it and it was so easy to take apart and clean! I love the color of ours and it is such good quality! definitely recommend!
