My laces were completely different from one another by type and length. One of the skates has some glue running out of the front, but not worth returning and replacing. These rollerskating are very solid - you can tell the quality by the heaviness of the wheels and metal at the bottom of the shoe. It appears to be genuine leather but unfortunately, it reeks of some chemical glue where they attached the leather pieces together. They were comfortable to skate in, but the smell is pretty bad and I hope it goes away after a few more wears. ... show more

I recommend these skates. I had to exchange the other pair with the pink wheels because the size was too big. These fit just right and they are very comfortable. Chicago skates are a very popular here and I owned a pair when I was little. 5 stars for sure.

I bought these for a skate night. It'd been a while since I'd last skated and this is my first pair of owned skates. They felt a little loose in the ankle, and a bit snug in the foot, but that was fine for me because it made it feel like they weren't going anywhere and you can always just tighten the laces around your ankle. I'm not sure when it happened, but I started the night with both of my toe stops and at some point during the night, the right toe stop went missing, so now I have to replace them. The skates themselves are a bit heavy when it comes to carrying them around, so you'd definitely want to get a bag or a skate leash. I did notice that there were other people at the rink with those same skates, so they must not be too bad. Overall good for beginners, you should just make sure you do some research and be ready to replace things sooner than expected. ... show more
