Edit: Within two days the backs started falling off both sets. I actually had to reorder a kit to re do one of my kids because it fell off while sleeping and the earring fell out. The hole was closed up by morning which is normal with a two day old piercing. All in all still love the product but I did replace the backs with clear silicone backs that are working much better. The one original back kept falling off just walking around. That flaw in itself caused me to have to re do the one ear. Replace the backs with something more reliable and it should all be great. Worked wonderfully! We live really rural and don't have a place that does kids lobe piercings within a 3 hour drive. The local piercer doesn't believe in doing ear piercings for children so we opted to do it at home. I watched at least 2 dozen videos on how to use the piercing gun and read pages upon pages of proper aftercare. It was super super easy, fast and the girls didn't even act like it hurt. All in all, we are all happy with the results. Would purchase again to do a second lobe piercing when they are bit bigger if they decide to get them done. ... show more

As I get older, my earlobes droop and holes that once were in the middle are near the bottom now! Ha, so I figured I'd do em again! Worked like a charm, devices are small enough so they're not cumbersome to use, just make a pen point mark where you want the ear pierced and use your thumb and forefinger to press the spring-loaded pointed stud earing that comes in the unit (you get 2) into your ear-- straight, be aware of placement--and then do it again on the other side. Mirror check, snap closed and your ears are pierced! Don't forget to turn the studs inside the holes after piercing when you think of it. It'll help. So will the alcohol pads included. I ordered this product because I decided to pierce my ears on a whim. It was one of the cheapest and easiest ways I could find to do it. It seemed to be packaged well in a sterilized pack. The only reason I am giving this four stars is because one of the ear ring guns did not get the ear ring through my ear the first try.     • Quick, Easy and Painless Way to Pierce My Ears

They say your ears never stop growing and as I've aged I've noticed my earlobes definitely getting bigger! Since having my ears pierced when I was in high school then re-pierced again in my mid-forties to better center the hole on my earlobe, I decided it was time for a second hole. I asked my college aged niece if she would help as she had done her own with a similar product and my eyesight isn't what it once was. We marked the spot then G did the deed. It was easy and painless! I will say that there is much contradictory information on the internet as to how to care for newly pierced ears. I followed the advise to rinse with soapy water or saline twice a day, don't touch them and don't turn them like we did back in the day. Three and a half weeks out they are healing so well I'm tempted to change them out even though the current advice is not to do that until after at least 6 weeks. One other piece of advice if you are a side sleeper is to sleep on a travel pillow so your ear can rest in the center and not be pushed against a solid surface.
