The boot, while not very padded, is fine. The WHEELS however are very hard. (They might be good for indoor use). Additionally, the BEARINGS in the wheels don't spin. I wear a size 8.5. I first ordered a size 9. Not listening to the reviews. They arrived and my feet could slip out of them tied up. So I exchanged for an 8. The skates did well the first weekend of using them but they were never sturdy. Since the wheels are plastic, it's hard to get enough momentum to gain speed and any debris that's ran over will slow you down. Also, there's rough areas above the toes in the boots, making the skates very uncomfortable to wear. ... show more

    • these skates are not for outdoor
I got these as a gift for Christmas. They are not an outdoor skate at all. The wheels are super super hard, so there's no shock absorbance on anything, you have to use these on a very very smooth surface, even a crack on the ground will make you fall over. I used them inside and outside. Inside my house, they are okay, but theyre very speed resistant, so even if you try to use just your weight to skate, they don't want to go anywhere, you have to work hard to speed up or even do novice tricks like bubbles or scissors. I tried loosening the wheels, which was very hard, but even with the wheels loosened they just wont go. I used them outside, bad idea. I fell multiple times and hurt myself pretty bad a couple times. Even on soft, polished concrete unless I was holding onto something I fell over. The trucks on the skates are lower quality, so you feel a constant vibration on your feet and they start to ache after a while. I really dont reccommend these, even for a beginner, you might as well get a better quality that wont make you work as hard ... show more

    • Bad Bearings -- garbage
Got these for my daughter. Some of the nuts on the wheels were way too tight, some were too loose. But, that didn't matter b/c the bearings were SO bad that the wheels didn't turn. I'm a skateboarder and know bearings. These are THE worst bearings I've ever seen in 30 years. Total garbage.

Purchased two pairs in the past 5 months for grandkids. Both pairs had problems with bearings. The 2nd pair within the first 2 hours of skating.
