After going out on a whim and purchasing an Upholstered Button Tufted Platform bed and a Tuft & Needle mattress on Amazon, I added to the adventure and purchased this Chic Home 9 piece Brenton Bedding set. I SO scored!!! The grey set looks great on my beige bed. Its a simple clean modern look and the elegance of the bed (which is super inexpensive btw) gives it a classic feel. The only issue is that it was really wrinkled when I took it out of the packaging but I took an iron to it, gave it a little steam...and whalah, a perfect set! It still doesn't look as perfectly ironed as the what you see pictured. There are gathers that prevent that clean of a wrinkle free look but it's still lovely. Oh there are lines in the design of the comforter and at first I thought I wasn't lining them up properly as they were offset to one side and not centered but when I looked at the photo, I have the bedding line design vertical and the way it is pictured is horizontal. I like it vertical. Its your choice. Point is, it works whatever way you decide to throw this beauty across your bed. It is a lovely set that is versatile in its feminine or masculine appeal. You can easily purchase some floral pillow accents to fem it up a bit or leave it as is for a masculine or simpler less ornate look. Either way, you will not be disappointed in this purchase... unless you don't like to iron ;) ... show more

Bought this in black as a Christmas present to myself so I haven't put it on my bed yet. But all the pieces came and the fabric was better than I was expecting. The pillow stuffing needed to be reshaped but all it took was some punching and squishing to fill in all the corners. I also had to steam everything as it came too wrinkly to leave as it was. The filling in the comforter is not as full and fluffy as I thought (posted pic for reference compared to my hand) but it seems like a standard fill compared to my past Kohls comforters I've had. It does have a more synthetic, almost soft "plastic fiber" sound fill when you rustle the comforter but I'm not bothered by it. And I put it in the dryer on high with a wet towel (to get the wrinkles off) and it didn't seem to melt any of the full. I still need to buy big Euro square pillows for the two Euro shams it came with (would have been nice if that was part of the package) All well. I posted pictures of all my peices (the bed skirt is just folded, I didn't lay that one out) overall I'm quite pleased. It was better than I was expecting and for being able to wash from home is a huge plus! I'll take a picture after its all assembled on Christmas and post that picture as well. -Second review- I've used this set for a few weeks now and I will say the detail stitching has begun to come apart and unravel in multiple places. I contacted the seller and they issued me a $25 partial refund for me to get it fixed. I put fabric glue on the spots that are unraveling and have restitched areas that came unraveled far enough to tell. I'm still satisfied with my purchase but am nervous on how it will hold up in the wash over the coming years. ... show more

We use this bed set in our master bedroom and are not overly excited about it. After about a month some of the stitching in the comforter has come loose which isn't obvious from far away but I worry that it will get worse over time. Also, I chose gray thinking that I could use just about any color sheets. Not true, somehow other colors don't really look good with this shade of gray and I've had to settle for white sheets. On the plus side, the comforter is very warm in the colder months and very soft. This set is alright but I think it would be better in a guest bedroom where it is used less and the possibility of stitching being pulled is reduced. ... show more
