The product looks fine. Looks like the small amount the vet provided to hold us over. A fine powder, no noticeable odor. The primary reason for this review is to let people know there is no safety seal under the cap. This package arrived with a loose cap which allowed some product to fall out into the packaging. Not an excessive amount but it could have been a very different experience. Verified this is by design with the mfg. to rule out product may have been tampered with.

My dog is a Dachshund with dark colored nails so cutting his nails always results with a few nails bleeding. I used a moistened cotton ball which I dipped in the styptic powder and pressed it on the bleeding nail for about 10 seconds. It immediately stopped the bleeding. In the past I have hesitated to trim his nails myself because of the mess the bleeding created and the effort it took to stop the bleeding.
