I live in central Texas. I almost never need boots. I haven't had a pair of winter boots in 20 years. I planned a trip to Alaska in March and thought warm snow boots would be a good idea, but didn't want to spend much money since I would only need them for a week. These boots did not disappoint. Very inexpensive, but they were warm (even after being outside for a long time), comfortable (one day I did more than 20,000 steps wearing them), easy to get on and off due to having a zipper instead of laces, kept the snow out, and had great traction (but I also used yak trax sometimes, and the yak trax stayed on well as opposed to my hiking boots, which the yak trax pop off of regularly). They are pretty true to size, but if you're going to wear heavy socks, go up a half size (which is what I did). If you need warm snow boots for a trip or for just a few cold snowy days a year, look no further!

I tried about 10 different pairs of boots. All different brands. Most were hard to put on, hit my ankle in a bad spot or were just to loose. Well these were perfect. Warm, fit well and the support in the arch and sole of the boot are just what I needed. Thank you Cheval.

I wanted a boot easier to slip on than my sorels. These are fantastic! Easy on off, super lightweight, water and snow proof... I love them! They have held up excellently in this harsh Minnesota winter.

I was hoping for mid-calf as described but these actually are about 2 inches above my ankle bone which is not mid-calf for me. I am 5'6". They are warm enough for zero degree F weather. I am a true 8M US and the size 8M fit perfectly. Easy on and off with the zipper which is super helpful when you want to make sure your shoes are air-tight but don't fit too tightly - an issue I have with lace-ups.

I am normally a true size 8, however the 8 felt a little sloppy when I put them on. They did not have a 7.5 so I ordered the 7 and kept my fingers crossed. The 7 fit well and actually after I wore them for a day, they were prefect. I will say when I ordered the smaller size the price had gone down from $42 to $29 so I was thrilled the 8 did not fit. Sent them back and saved $13!!! I wore them for 3 days straight and the boots kept my feet warm and dry plus I received quite a few compliments on them.
