This is a great quality mold! The one major issue I did have was the number of molds for the chess pieces - You need 16 pawns total for the game but there is only one mold for that piece. With moat resin needing 24 hours to cure, that's a LOT of time spent on just the pawns. I was not able to finish my project in time and was really bummed. I couldn't find anywhere to get more molds that match so I had to make my own. If this was addressed it would be a solid 5 stars for sure! ... show more

The mold is a good quality. The only problem with it is there is only one of each of the Pawns.

The idea of a one piece mold for the pieces was what I was looking for, reusable and come out fairly nice. However, bubbles are hard to remove and it can be difficult to flip the mold back after removing the piece. The stand leg on the knight came off, but my fiance built me a custom stand to hold them so they don't tip. And the chess board stuck to the resin and damaged the silicone in a couple spots. ... show more

The board is not made that well, the walls around the squares are way too low and do not allow you too pour two colors without them mixing. I guess It works ok if you poured one color, allowed to dry, then pour 2nd color it would be fine.

    • Board mold not as sturdy, missing pieces.
First off, when i got this it did not have the castle mold, so not havong whole set im kinda sol, the mold for the chess board sides were not that sturdy, i had to make a wood frame just to have the side as straight as i could, i would not recommend this set to any beginners thats for sure.
