  • Wow, this stuff works well!
Size: 16 oz
About 6 months after I got a new truck I took it off-roading, rolling down narrow trails for about 8 hours. Branches often scrapped the sides of the truck leaving hundreds of superficial scratches. Fortunately, nothing that wouldn't buff out. I had some MacG*****, you know the product. I had enough to do one side of the truck. Worked my way through 4 different "grits". It took a couple hours+ but it removed most of the scratches. I wanted to try out this product so I bought the 4 pack and used it to do the other side of the truck. Chemical Guys recommended using the lightest grit first to reduce how much paint gets removed. Okay, I tried it. One pass removed 90% of the scratches. Second pass, they were 99% removed. Doing the whole side of the truck took a half hour or so and left the truck much more shiny than the other side. I was really impressed. It was a little harder to wipe off than the other product but worked so much better it more than made up for the time. I didn't intend this to be a side-by-side comparison, I just wanted the scratches out of my truck's paint. Running out of product halfway just made it work out to be exactly that, a side by side comparison. I found it works much better than the other stuff. The most aggressive grit is quite aggressive, you may not need to buy the 4 pack, you might just get by with the least 1 or 2 aggressive levels depending on what you're buffing out. I also do woodworking, I turn pens on a lathe for fun and profit and I use this product to shine up CA glue finish and resin castings. I had similar results to my experience with the truck. It worked so much better than the McG product. It really reduced my sanding time. I used to go through all the micro-mesh pads then use McG, now I sand to 600 and just use the Chemical Guys product, done! I will absolutely be buying this again. Funny thing, it's easier to buy on Amazon than the Chemical Guys website. They'd been out for months when i thought to check Amazon and was surprised to find it available. So, bottom line, this is a really good product and well worth the extra money. You may not need such an aggressive grit though so you might consider just getting the lightest grit first and trying it out. Good luck and happy buffing. ... show more

  • Better than Zaino, or any other kit I've tried for that matter.
Size: 16 oz
I have to hand it to Chemical Guys - this buff and polish kit is well-priced, and does the job with the right buffer and pads. I have a 12-year-old car with 135k miles on the clock, and while it doesn't necessarily show its age, it does have its fair share of swirls, and a bit more oxidation of the paint on the hood than I'd like. I bought into the CG kit and all the accessories needed to do a makeover on my paint, and the products, used properly, made a world of difference. I won't go into the step-by-step, but I will say that a good washdown/scrubbing was needed, followed by a claybar treatment to get the tiny grit off the paint, before I could put this kit to full use. That said, I dove into the stepped process of Cut, Buff, Polish, Shine that these 4 bottles represent, and I am amazed at the results. The paint on the car looks new again, with the exception of the oxidized areas on the hood, which will likely just take a second application when the weather turns warm again. Bottom line: Couple this kit with CG's line of buffing pads, your random orbital of choice (I HIGHLY recommend the Porter Cable PC-7424), and take your time, following the on-label directions, and you'll have what looks like a shiney new car for a fraction of the price. ... show more

  • It's like a Snapchat filter, but for your paint! It's like a Snapchat filter, but for your paint!
Size: 4 oz
Used this set in combination with Chemical Guy's clay-bar kit, and WOW. 14+ years of dirt and swirls came right out. I've never done more than just a simple hose-down and sponge-scrub on any of my vehicles, but this stuff was easy to use and beat my expectations. Started by giving the bike a wash with the Clean Slate wash from the clay-bar kit, then went over it with the claybar (which is the point where the before pic was taken). Then proceeded through each of the 4 polishing compounds in this kit with a cheap set of 3in polishing pads and my corded drill. Dabbed it on and started slow to spread it, then a few passes a bit faster, one final pass at top speed, then wiped off the residue with a microfiber towel. Then grabbed a fresh pad and repeated with the next compound... After all the polishing, I applied the Butter Wax from the clay-bar kit and gave one final buffing by hand to get the after shot. For my motorcycle, this set had more than enough compound to do the whole bike several times over, but I imagine it'd be cutting it pretty close trying to do a whole car. And that said, it feels a little pricey for such small bottles... But this kind of paint correction shouldn't have to be done too often, so after seeing the difference, it's definitely worth it! ... show more

  • It works, but doesn't deliver the best results, or the fastest results.
Size: 16 oz
I've been using these four polishes for quite a while now. I've always been happy with the results, but I find that I end up using the red and orange (cutting compound and finish polish) most of the time. I rarely use the hybrid polish (green label), because I don't need a step between the cutting compound and the finish polish. And I use the extreme cutting compound on occasion when there's some really nasty oxidation and I want to get through it with a first pass before resuming my usual polishing regime. In a lot of cases, I also find myself finishing vehicles with a finer polish (Rupes UNO Pure has been a favorite). This means that I went through at least three stages of polishing, and finished with a product outside this lineup for a better end result. This is why the title of my review says it's neither the best results nor the fastest. ... show more

  • Amazing. Next up was the Leather Amazing. Next up was the Leather
Size: 16 oz
HUGE THANKS to the Chemical Guys! Wicked products! The Sequoia is almost 8yrs old with 125K miles on it. The paint has been fading and oxidizing badly over the past few years. Its washed regularly, and has been detailed several times. Each detailer the past few years has stated that the paint is gone and the truck would need to be painted in order to restore that shine and new car look. So a few months ago, I purchased the TORQ Tool Company BUF501X 10FX Kit as well as following products: - Chemical Guys GAP_VKIT_16 V Line Polish and Compound Kit (16 oz) (V32, 34, 36 and V38) - Chemical Guys BUF_301_16 Polishing and Buffing Pad Conditioner - Chemical Guys SPI_109_16 Leather Cleaner and Conditioner Complete Leather Care Kit - Chemical Guys WAC_201_16 Butter Wet Wax (16 oz) It was a LONG 2 days, but the results speak for themselves. Washed the car with water only, then started in on it. Started with the V32, then V36, then V38, followed by the Butter Wet Wax. Below are some before and after pictures of the door (Oxidized VS Finished) and the second... Is the difference just between the V38 and Butter Wet Wax steps. You can see how much clearer the reflections are. Amazing. Next up was the Leather... WOW, night and day difference. The seats were last cleaned about 8mo ago (expensive name brand from auto parts store)... they have never been this clean! The hood photo... well, the hood was oxidized worst of all and now you can clearly see cloud reflections!! THANKS Chemical Guys! #customerforlife #lookslikenew ... show more

  • Great detailing compound for scratches on my car.
Size: 4 oz
I wanted to get rid of the scratch (not deep), on my car from car washes, tree branches, etc. Look around on various web sites for the best compound to use and this one came up on most of them as the best. I bought the smaller size (4 oz) as I only needed to do my car, and this was a better size (and cheaper), and was able to do the entire car. The 4 different "grits", will help you figure out which one to use on the scratches or swirl marks on your car, so was really impress with how well they worked, and made my car look like new. If you have deep scratches, (I did), so bought some touch-up paint, and used the compound to buff it out and also worked very well. If you have scratches that go down to the metal, you'll need to use primer, then paint then gloss to fit it well. May be a job for a professional, I tried with mixed results. ... show more

  • It surely worked great for me! It surely worked great for me!
Size: 16 oz
My first major detail on any car and specifically on my 2012 Audi A7. The paint was overall in good shape but I had water spots, a lot of swirls and a few significant scratches. With the positive reviews I decided to give the products a try. I spent 2 1/2 days on the job but I think the results were spectacular. I used the V36 and V38 pretty much over the entire car and even before I got to the extra steps past the compounding I could see that I was going to achieve a great paint finish. There was no sticking of either compound. It went on and came off with easy using the Porter Cable 7424XP Polisher. I used an orange Country Lake pad with the V36 and a white pad for the V38. The removal of the defects was very apparent. Using the subsequent products, the color and brilliance of the black paint was beyond my expectations. The image I've attached is before I had applied any Füzion Carnauba Polymer Estate Wax but truthfully I don't think I would have needed any except for protection. Literally every spec of dust and any little defect shows up on such a nice black finish so now I need to buy a cover for the Audi. Otherwise I'm going to lose my perfect finish pretty quickly. Here was my protocol if you're interested. See what you think. * Wash & Dry * Clay * IPA Wipedown * Chemical Guys GAP_VKIT_16 V Line - V36 & V38 * Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 * Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish * Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0 * Chemical Guys GAP_619_16 Black Light Hybrid Radiant Finish Color Enhancer * Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 * Wolfgang Füzion Carnauba Polymer Estate Wax ... show more
