Amazing product. It kicked in fast and smells like any western apparel store where the first scent you smell are brand new boots. I would like to leave some recommendations though for potential buyers: spray this product on any carpeted surfaces in the interior of your vehicle. If your floor boards are plastic, take them out and spray the carpeted area of the floorboard. Then turn your vehicle on and set the AC to full blast on the highest fan setting. Try to this after you drive so your air flow is at full capacity. Let it sit like this for about 5 minutes. You’ll smell the effects quickly. 10/10 product. Here’s a very honest answer incase anyone was wondering. I bought this item without reading any reviews. After reading a few after I purchased I saw many people unpleased with the smell but I still wanted to test it myself as I’m pretty good at telling whether an item is worth it or not. From my experience I can say this, I understand why people complained about the smell, I’ll be honest and say when you first spray the bottle, it does smell like complete doodoo, BUT, when the smell settles in and airs out, it really DOES smell like a new car. So yes be aware that at first it will smell completely terrible probably from how strong the scent it, but with time and after you let it breathe a bit, I promise it really does end up smelling like a new car! ... show more

I would probably mimic what others have said on this product. First, let me say that I am very meticulous with my vehicles. I always keep them extremely clean inside and out. I really don’t have a need for an air freshener. I use a leather cleaner and conditioning product and a lot of people will get in my ~4 year old vehicle and wonder how it still “smells new”. I don’t think it smells new, but what they are smelling is that conditioner. Anyway, I love the smell of a new car. If I found a product, even an air freshener product (which I otherwise don’t use) that would give me that, I’d be all over it. I will say this and get it out of the way right now… if you are in the same position as me, this product DOES NOT give your car a new car smell as it advertises. The smell is clean… somewhat reminiscent of a new plastic smell. New car smell is much more than new plastic, however. I mean, the smell isn’t bad. It’s just not new car. I like it. It’s growing on me. I just bought a new to me used vehicle. It didn’t smell bad inside, but I’ve been using this product religiously to try and get the “new car smell”. I am spraying it directly onto the carpets and floor mats as well as putting the AC on max and spraying under the dash to let it take it up into the vents. I find that you do need to refresh daily or every other day to keep the smell prominent. It doesn’t last as long as I’d expect. It also takes quite a number of sprays. I bought a 16oz bottle to try and it’s lasted me about 2 weeks. I did like it enough that I just bought the 20oz bottle and will continue to use the product and see how it does. Whether I continue it after that’s or not remains to be seen. So all in all, I like the product. The scent is good. It is not a new car scent. It definitely gets rid of smells, but it unfortunately smells like chlorine. I love the Chemical Guys products, BUT when my friend got into my freshly cleaned and detailed van, all accomplished with Chemical Guys products, he said, "Did you use bleach to clean the inside of the van?" That's when I realized it does smell like a chlorine-based cleaner, and not that much like the new car smell, lol. Since I have already opened the bottle, I am afraid I won't be able to return it. I have a 2018 Fiat Abarth Spider. It only has 11,000 miles on it. It looks like new inside and out, but the new car smell has faded. Ugh! I like a car that smells fresh and clean. I have mats over top the original car mats and that Is what I spray. I don't spray my cloth/leather seats.
