This is not just a great food service uniform shirt, it's a great everyday shirt as well. For someone who normally wears large, the fit on this shirt is perfect. The stitching is really good, with no loose threads from what I can see. The materials used are nice and very comfortable. There is a standard feel cotton front to this shirt, but on the back and sides there is a more stretchy polyester feeling material. The mix of these is great as it gives the shirt room to stretch while not impeding movements other standard shirts might restrict. This is a button up shirt, but the button caps look like standard through-buttons which is a great aesthetic touch. Overall, just a great feeling shirt, fits great, and has a lot of little extra features that make it fun to wear. Even little pockets on the arms for holding an occasional pen out of the way. My only critique is the snap button for rolled up sleeves is not covered with material on the inside, so can be a little cold as it makes contact with skin. Not a major flaw by any means, but can catch a first time wearer by surprise.

This shirt is very comfortable. The mesh panels provide excellent breathability,, and the lightweight fabric feels soft. So far It has held up remarkably well in the wash. It appears to be a high quality construction and fits true to size. My son loves it because it has a modern fit, it’s breathable , and it has hapse buttons! It looks really nice on him. Would buy again in a heartbeat!

This is perfect for occasions when you are preparing food in a hot place in front of the public. I wish I'd had these years ago. They're very carefully vented with a stretchy material that blends in with the rest of the fabric. There are an abundance of pockets for thermometers, pens, etc. I did feel that the sizing runs a bit big. I'm just past medium into large territory and I generally get larges. But this feels like it could have been labelled XL. Maybe get two sizes and send one back.

The media could not be loaded. For a slim fit chef dress shirt, this fits and feels great. It has nice strong material and a good build and design. The white is a little transparent so an undershirt may be needed. It has the chef aerated material on the sides. The buttons clip on which is nice because it is quick and easy as opposed to feeding each button through a hole. It has a nice dressy look to it, yet feels like it can handle a chaotic/harsh environment. The buttons are silver, which aren't great, it would have been better with a discreet color like white so it blends with the rest of the shirt. The color of the shirt is good, and not too tight and has a nice look. It also has the chef pocket which is convenient for holding things like a meat thermometer. Pretty good chef shirt for looking sharp, and professional in a dressy occasion, yet can handle a lot of activity!

I honestly did not realize this was a specialty shirt for chefs to wear in the kitchen. Of course, the brand name should have tipped me off, but looking at this I thought it was being sold as inspired by their kitchen-specific items. That said, it still works for me for casual or even business casual wear. First of all, it looks and feels great and it is versatile as to temperature, with the rollable, snapable sleeves. Where I live, it is often chilly in the morning then hot in the afternoon, sometimes a 30-degree difference or more, so I like that the sleeves are convertible. I also like the stretchy material with the vents for the same reason. The pockets are just bonuses, I feel, but also very cool. Finally, I got the blue, and it looks great, unlike any other shade of blue shirt I have. With the full collar, it doesn't really look like a chef-specific shirt, but probably the chefs out there will know. Either way, it still works for me, and it looks and fits great.

As a non-chef I like the *technical* features. And unlike many chef's shirts, this isn't obviously designed just for the kitchen (e.g. peculiar placard / closures on front, collar, etc.). With this you won't look weird outside of a kitchen - the added details give it a technical vibe. The metal snaps all have faux depressions as if 4-hole buttons. The only "real" buttons are the small ones on the extended cuff openings. SMALL PROBLEM: The actual cuffs have two male snap-posts to offer two sizes for the wrist openings. This means if you select a bigger opening for your wrist, there's an extra male snap-post (for a smaller wrist-opening) sticking out on the sleeve that is a scratching / scuffing hazard. With regular long-sleeved shirts I always cut-off the wrist-opening buttons I don't need. NICE: The tab for holding rolled up sleeve (like this, the double snap-posts on the sleeve are moot). REALLY NICE: The added extra-stretch panels on sides; the "normal" areas of the shirt also stretch, but less so.

I ordered this shirt because I like to cook and I thought it was going to be a chef's shirt, one that would close completely, resist stains, etc. This shirt is large and roomy. Its also nice against the skin (Polyester, Cotton and Elastane). But it picked up a stain on its first encounter with food and wasn't able to easily wash clean. It does look the part of a chef's shirt, but I'm not convinced it would hold up to a busy kitchen's rigors. The shirt does have vent panels, so it can handle heat better than most shirts, pockets for writing instruments and (maybe?) a thermometer. All in all, I like the shirt a lot as a stand alone shirt, but if you are a chef, you may want to take a closer look before purchasing.
