I am editing this review because the company sent me a new basketball and it has held air since . My 5 year old is learning to play basketball and has shown an interest in the sport. I wanted to surprise him for Christmas by giving him a youth sized basketball with his favorite color. I decided to give it to him yesterday. Within 30 minutes the ball went flat. The ball met my expectations on size and color as well as delivery but none of that matters if it doesn’t hold air. If it did hold air I would have given 5 stars. Not sure if it is cheaply made or just a defect in this one ball. What I do know is I purchased a AND 1 ball at the same time, different seller on Amazon and the AND 1 ball still has the same amount of air in it as it did yesterday. ... show more

Bought three balls the day I bought this one. This came in a usps bag not inflated. Other two I bought came inflated ready to go. This one had to be aired before use. Not a biggie just a pain. Overall it’s a beautiful unique ball. It has good grip that’s not obnoxious but feels like it sticks to your hand. Would recommend!

My son used this to play ball in the park. The first couple of times he needed to add air so no air retention. He did say the grip was good. The third time he used it it just popped. This ball is really awesome. It has incredible grip and is standing the test of time being kept outdoors on our porch. The kids really enjoy it and it's durability and bounce is perfect.
