Bought these as a cheap upgrade/replacement for the rear speakers in my 1997 Buick Regal. Wasnt expecting much based on the price, but just needed to replace the worn out factory speakers. Installed them yesterday with relative ease and wow! What an improvment! Bass response is clear, deep, and rich. Mids and highs are quite clear as well. Im not running an amplifer currently, theyre operating off of a Pioneer AVH-210X head unit. So that being said, with very high volume they do start to distort, but thats expected, and it only happens well above my normal listening volume. All in all Im very pleased with these, and will be looking into using the same series for replacements in my front doors, as well as a small amplifier to run all four. ... show more

I installed these speakers in the rear hatch of our daughters Corolla and they are super stoked. I am using these speakers on a stock Alpine stereo without and amplifier and these speakers are putting out some really good sound. Great all around range of sound from low to high.

These are one of the best sounding 6x9 speakers I have ever heard(without an amplifier). I have a Harley road king and I have tried 5 separate sets of 6x9's and these and the cs series Kicker 6x9's are 2 of the best speakers I have found. These seem to handle the bass better at higher volume levels than the Kickers. I have 45 watts going to each speaker and they can handle all of it. No distortion at high volume levels with the lows or highs. I always keep my treble settings as high as they go and then tune in my bass settings to get an optimal sound(with volume at highest level you want it to be). I used to compete in car audio competitions and won a couple so I have a little bit of experience with audio equipment lol. So if you are looking for good quality loud speakers (without amplifier) then I recommend these Cerwin Vega 6x9s. ... show more
