Ceramic Fiber Blanket (6 Density, 2300°F), 1" Thick x 24" wide x 25 feet long (Total Of 50 Square Feet) is used for various applications in the metal, ceramic, and glass production industries – as well as in fire protection and aerospace applications. Ceramic fiber blankets are made from bulk fibers produced by the most modern spinning process, giving exceptional length & uniform distribution. Ceramic fiber blankets are manufactured with pure alumina-silica, forming a continuous blanket, mechanically sewed with double needle in order to provide better integrity to the surface on both sides of the blanket, a greater resistance in kaolin types and a higher purity. It contains no binder or other added constituents.

I love this stuff. It allows you to build any size furnace you need to. I have used it coated with fire ceramic and not. It holds up better than anything I have used in the last 30 years Always wear your resperator or qualitymask when you work with it.

    • Best Wood Furnace Insulation
My husband was upset when I paid much more for this product than what he would have bought as an insulation replacement ar Lowes. After seeing what the original insulation looked like, burned to a crisp, I decided to research wood furnace insulations. Since our wood furnace sits on our screened in porch and runs through a duct on the outside of our house we are more prone to heat loss before the air even gets into the house. He complained about the price the entire time he was installing it. Then, after running the wood stove for a few days in negative wind chill temperature he changed his tune. He said he could not believe it but the insulation worked great. You can put your hand on the outside of the stove and there is no heat transfer. It takes less wood to keep the house warm because we are not losing it to the outside. Now he is singing its praises! It is a great product and we are considering it for other uses too. You will not be disappointed with it, guaranteed. We had a water break in our yard this week. After he repaired it (frigged temps) he wrapped a scrap of the insulation around the joints. He is confident it will help protect it until spring when he can dig up the entire line for replacement. He's a true believer. :-) ... show more
