    • It's a nice, big single-walled stainless bottle.
This is essentially a large, stainless canteen. It's single-walled, so it won't keep your beverages cold or hot for very long, but it can be used to boil water over a campfire or cookstove (unlike an insulated water bottle.) It's reasonably lightweight for it's size, and seems to be well made. Mine came with a strainer insert that isn't pictured in the product description, and frankly, I'm a little perplexed as to what it's for. I guess it could prevent detritus from falling into the pot while you are boiling water. The screw cap seems to not be as smooth as it should be, but it's not a big deal. ... show more

    • Perhaps a bit overpriced…
As others have mentioned, the cap screws on very noisily. However, that isn’t because of the threads being rough, it is because the fit is sloppy. It is still good enough to seal and retain water without leaking, just not precise enough to prevent squeaking when opening or closing. The bottle itself is a good size. I would be careful carrying it by the bail, that doesn’t appear to be attached all that well and may fail, especially when it is full. Given the fit of the cap, and the weak appearance of the bail, I feel this should sell for a bit less. Certainly not Klean Kanteen quality ... show more
