DISCLAIMER: I am a regular Amazon customer and PAID the same price for this product that was publicly available to everyone else. I did not get this for free or at any special hidden discount to write a review. This is my HONEST opinion as a real paying customer and it is not biased in anyway by getting "paid with a product" to write it. I have now used these claws to shred pork, beef and chicken and they are so much better than my old method of using two kitchen forks. The claws: 1) greatly speed up the shredding process, and 2) pulls the meat into pieces perfect for great BBQ sandwiches. They are sharp and dishwasher safe if placed in the top rack. How much do I like these? I recently have ordered a second set to give to my married daughter and her husband so they can make pulled pork, beef or chicken sandwiches when I come for a visit! I love BBQ. BONUS: Here is super easy slow cooker/crock pot recipe I found online for PULLED BEEF that can be served with BBQ sauce or with au jus (like a French dip sandwich). I have made this 4 or 5 times now and it has been great every time! 1) Take 3 to 4 lbs of beef chuck roast, 1 pack (1 oz) of powdered hidden valley ranch, 1 pack (1 oz) of powdered au jus gravy/sauce, and 1 stick of butter. Put the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker (if one large piece of meat, I cut in two and add both) and immediately top meat with the powdered ranch, the powdered au jus gravy and the stick of butter (just dump them in). Put the lid on the slow cooker, and set to LOW heat for 7 to 8 hours. You might want to stir things in the slow cooker once about an hour or two into the process. Recover and let it cook. 2) After the 7 to 8 hours in the slow cooker, remove the beef (but save what's left in slow cooker if you want au jus style). Shred/pull the beef using the CLAWS, of course. If you want au jus style, skim the fat from the au jus gravy that is left in the slow cooker and what's left after you throw out the skimmed fat is a tasty au jus. If you want BBQ pulled beef, just add your favorite BBQ sauce (generously) to your pulled beef sandwich. A huge thanks to CAVE TOOLS for making the whole process of pulling the meat so much easier!

The products work as expected. I was a bit leery when I realized they are made of plastic - but after considerable use, they're just as strong and sharp as they were on day one. The highlight? A day or so after I placed the order (before they arrived), I received an e-mail from the manufacturer thanking me for my purchase. They also cautioned me with regard to wearing them and pretending you're Wolverine from "The X-Men." They acknowledged that yes - it's pretty damn awesome. They just wanted to remind me that the claws are genuinely sharp, and can do serious damage if you're not careful. I have to admit - as I was placing the order, I was actually thinking about Wolverine - and the e-mail was right on the mark. I have to wonder if they bother with the e-mailed caution when the product is ordered by women, who tend to be far more mature and responsible. 100% happy with the purchase, and I only injured myself (slightly) once.

First, I am not being paid to review the item, didn't get a discount, etc. I purchased these on my own with the hope that they'd perform as the description says. Well, they do. Lightweight yet well-made and sturdy. The tines are sharp, sharp, sharp. I've used them once so far (pulled pork). It grabbed the meat easily when I removed it from the crock-pot and then shredded the meat easily and effortlessly. I'm pleased. Oh- kids (and some adults ...) will want to play "Wolverine" with these. Don't. They are sharp. Definitely not a toy. Oh, one other note: I'd read a review that said they don't fit the hands well. Not my experience. I'm 6'0" and 220 lbs - yes, a "husky" man ... and they work just fine.

The product was as expected and works well. However, the insert said not to forget downloading 'The Grill Master's Essential Barbecue Recipe Book", however the website address provided did not lead to this recipe book download. Minor inconvenience

These claws are great. Although they are meat shredders, I used them to break down some thawing ground beef. The meat was too cold to use my hands and let me tell you, these things worked great. I also used them to shred some turkey legs. One slight downside to these shredders is the distance between the claws. I wasn't really able to shred the turkey legs that well. I ended up using one of the claws to hold the turkey leg (too hot to hold after cooking it) and a fork to do the shredding. Worked great. The entire thing measures about 4 3/8w X 4 1/4" h. The claws are about 1 1/2" long and about 7/8" in between each claw. The handle feels ergonomically perfect to fit your hand. I highly recommend this set if you are into BBQing or shredding. These even come in very handy for lifting a hot roast or any other hot meats. Use them as tongs. Great product.
