I brought this to a family trip for the adults in our party to play and we really enjoyed it. It is not overly complicated, so it doesn't take a lot of time to figure out the game, explain the rules, and get going. I liked the concept of having a vibe master and then working together as a group to determine where they are on the spectrum. This comes with everything you need to start playing right away. The quality is very good and will hold up well over the years. I like that the topic cards have a wide range of topics, so there are topics that will appeal to everyone. The range cards vary the gameplay, so you can get different scenarios/twists on the game if and when you revisit a topic. Some of the topics are a little more racy, so definitely keep that in mind for younger players. While most of the topics are timeless, there are a small few that are more period specific so may not age as well as others. There are many topics, so you’ll be making your guests happy. This is a thinking game, but yet easy to play. The cards are of good stock, with no obvious defects. The colors are true and the script is clean.

    • Quite a fun game to play with friends!
Finally, after two months of trying to find a time, several members my trivia team and I managed to get together on a Sunday afternoon to play "Catch the Vibe." The rules are easy, and the set-up is simple: the "Vibe Master" selects a topic card (ex., "kids with mullets," "making friends on an airplane," "rodents as pets," etc.) places it at the top of the board, and then picks a "range" card for the x axis and another one for the y axis (for instance, "dirty/clean" or "entertaining/annoying"). The Vibe Master then decides which coordinates (letter and number) best describe their feelings about the topic in terms of the range cards, and the other players work together to guess the coordinates expressing how the Vibe Master feels. The score depends on how close the players are to "catching the vibe" of the Vibe Master. After eight rounds, another player becomes the Vibe Master. My friends and I had big fun playing the game. I am, apparently, the most transparent, while one of our other friends surprised us with many unexpected answers. A couple criticisms: there are not instructions for when to change topics or ranges, plus choosing the range cards randomly means they are not always easily applied to the selected topic. We decided that the next time we play, the Vibe Master will randomly pick the topic and then consciously pick two range cards for evaluating that topic. Minor complaints aside, the game made for a highly entertaining afternoon of non-competitive fun! ... show more

This game was a little hard to figure out at first. Then after you get used to it, there are cards that you use over and over again. This is an ok game to add to your collection.
