    • works if you know what you are doing.
The stuff works. The biggest caveat is that the documentation is weak at best. If you do decide to get this and use it remember these two things. Don't dip your brush into the bottle of solution, it will corrupt the solution and ruin it if you do, as per the instructions pour the amount you are going to use into some other container and dip from that so you can throw away the left over. Other thing to remember is that you need to polish the item you are going to plate perfectly before you begin. Any scratches or imperfections not taken care of prior to use will only be more obvious after plating. Only reason I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 is the $15 dollar premium over just buying the solution is a bit on the high side for the transformer and wand.... they are really only worth about 1/3 of the premium. ... show more

This is a very clever product for replating. It definitely does the job, smaller items are easier to plate than large items.

See my photos of before and after. I just cleaned the mouthpiece really well with soap and some 000 steel wool around the shank and used the buffing wheel on my Dremel to shine it up and polish it some of the surface scratches. The unit plates quickly and I have enough solution left to do several more. ... show more

Had some brass drawer pulls we wanted silver.Paint wears off and is thick for small lettering(coca cola) Bought the kit and didn’t work well at first. Cleaned with acetone and started working. We used the silver and it goes on tarnished then you polish to a high luster. The only thing the wand connects kind of janky so you have to expand the banana plug to make it hold. The cotton I just kept on with the rubber band kind of like a corn broom fashion.Over all pleased just have to have clean metal ... show more

The silver plug n plate kit only deposits a thin layer of silver onto the item and does not match the silver on the silver plated item that is being replated.

This KIT IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!! I sell ECIG MODS on Ebay, and Silver Plating your Contact Pins can easilly help you sell your product for literally $20-$30 more then if you had just brass pins, and sell your product faster aswell!!! This works as stated, NO ISSUES what SO EVER!!! I have plated Pennies, to entire MODS (just for kicks), but as stated, the main reason I purchased this was for silver plating contact Pins on my "For Sale" Ecig Mods, and this KIT made me my money back 10 fold and then some!!!     • It did not work for me.
I ordered the product for a plaque, it did not work for me. The product may be OK but not for what I needed to be done. I would like to ship it back because it has not been used and it is still in the box.
