Pretty and roomy, soft fabric, and nice nylon zipper, but I purchased 3 of them, and every one had open seams in the pockets, the holes large enough to put 2 to 4 fingers through. Poor quality control.

I have not seen the word "housedress" used since the '50s but whatever one might call it, the robe is comfortable, well made and just what I had been looking for. I did not rate it for strength or sheerness as I do not believe either word applies. It is not sheer at all - perfect for me to wear in the evening over a nightgown or pajamas. I am 5'8" and it comes to about mid to lower calf.

I haven’t even wore this yet. I put it through the wash to get the sizing out of the garment hung it to dry, and then I noticed along the zipper there it was! The tear. They cut the fabric too short, not a large enough seam allowance and it just frayed itself apart. I’m very disappointed. But, Not surprised. Made in China.

I ordered the size I would shop for in garments. It fits loosely - preferable with a housedress - but longer than I anticipated, it nearly goes to my ankles. It's not a problem, as I wear it around the house. I wouldn't wear it outside my own property. The material is lightweight mix of polyester/cotton. It does have a strange feel to it that I can't put my finger on except to say it reminds me of some non-absorbent dish towels. You know, where the water is moved around but never picked up. Otherwise I stepped into it - since it reaches to (nearly) my ankles. But the zipper places at the calf. This might be a keeper. Has to deal with longevity. The pockets are off, one side full regular pocket to fit an adult hand, but the other side is miniscule opening. I couldn't put three fingers in there. It seems deep. But maybe to drop keys into but nothing else. Hopefully I can retrieve my keys. UPDATE: Overall a bit tent-like, to get in and out of. Especially long when it's too warm and it's blocking airflow. Just below the knee is preferable, not near the ankle as this is. Also the material is a bit itchy or abrasive at the decolletage, must be the ribbing and the design causing irritation.

I gave this to my sister after surgery. Before washing felt a bit like parachute material.. slick but soft. She said she liked it. The black and white is pretty, almost regal. She liked the embroidery. It fit larger than we thot it would. 16-18 she could pull it together across the middle with ease. Will be loose fitting when zipped. but that makes it comfy

Be sure to order at least 1 size down. Very roomy. I ordered XL based on size chart and oh my, so big. I even washed and dried, allowing for shrinkage, no such luck. Keeping as I washed and dried it and tags off. It'll be fine but husband even commented on how big it is on me.
