  • Fantastic Keyboard for Beginners
Color: GRAY Style: SA-77
When reading this review, please keep in mind that I am an advanced pianist who has played professionally for decades. Take note that this is a greatly-reduced octave keyboard. There are only two fully workable octaves. It has suited my purpose well as I use it when I'm away from my large keyboard to plunk-out new tunes generally in bed or on the sofa at night before bedtime. I would recommend this for very young beginners only - or for use such as mine. I would not recommend this for older children learning to play due to the smaller reach/range of key placement. They may grow use to this & when migrating to a piano or keyboard that has full-sized keys, it could present issues as they will have become accustomed to the smaller key spacing. Battery usage is excellent. I tinker with the keyboard almost every night and the batteries last about 2 months. Tone is muted - so you won't get that full-bodied sound as in larger keyboards. I've found less that five sounds that are pleasant to play. It's very portable; I stick it on a shelf. I always cover it before storing it away. Also - do not cut the power until you have turned the sound level to the lowest setting. This applies to all electronic instruments for lasting usage. The key-spacing is mightily reduced in comparison to an extended keyboard. Hand spreads will leave your thumb and little finger outside of the chord range. ... show more

  • Battery compartment started smoking!!!
Color: ORANGE Style: SA-76
Bought this for my 12 year old daughter who's an avid piano player and wanted to play in the car. She doesn't use it very often and today the keyboard started SMOKING!! it was on her lap so she just flung it off and luckily did not get burned. It was apparentlycoming fromthe battery compartment!! We are so disappointed as it seemed to be a fun product. But that it can cause serious injury is awful. ... show more

  • Longwinded but Worth the Read. Do yourself a favor! Read and save your money!!
Color: PINK Style: SA-78
Bought this keyboard hoping that, it being a brand name like Casio would make a difference. It was bought for a niece who wants to learn and we wanted to encourage it, without spending hundreds of dollars. I at-least expect the product to work. There was no discreet box. It was on my front porch, in the box pictured. The box was also crushed a bit and looked to have been opened and taped back before shipping here. On first viewing the keyboard had some kinda of white substance on it, which is included in the photos. So, it's for sure a used keyboard. There was NEVER any mention of that on the page I purchased from. I ordered a NEW keyboard. Also, I turned it around to put batteries in, and there's something loose in it. You can hear it moving around inside. I switched the keyboard on and it worked. Shockingly. I checked every white and black key to make sure. Then messed with the volume knob. Made some pretty awful noises and was extremely distorted sounding, at points. Turned it off and back on. IT NEVER CAME BACK ON. So here I am. It's being returned tomorrow morning and I'm getting my money back. I highly do not recommend anyone wasting their money on this. I don't know if this is on the seller delivering shoddy products to Amazon or Amazon's prime hub, but someone needs to get it figured out. This is the second bad keyboard I've ordeedr within a month. The other was a different brand and seller, but wow. ... show more

Color: ORANGE Style: SA-76
The keyboard is good for beginners, especially children. However, mine has stopped working with less than 2 months of use... It was delivered on October 26th, it stopped working on December 15th... Amazon‘s return policy allows for only 1 month return... Come on, bot even 2 months later the device has already stopped working, and no exchange possible!? I‘m very disappointed... ... show more

  • It broke right away
Color: ORANGE Style: SA-76
I liked it a lot at first but after about a dozen uses 4 of the lower keys stopped working unless you press really hard on them and sometimes they get stuck and stay down. Super disappointed

  • I love this keyboard
Color: GRAY Style: SA-77
At age 65, I am presently a retired Professor Emeritus of Music, and have just purchased this Casio SA-77 keyboard, not for piano practice, but for working out the harmonic (and even contrapuntal) details of new compositions that I seem to be writing more frequently now that I am retired. This keyboard will definitely make it easier for me to do so. The keys are big enough for me, and it has a helpful array of sounds and good volume control. I really look forward to utilizing it, rather than always working out all of the details in my inner ear. I can still do that, but the keyboard will potentially add a higher level of interest to my works. I still use the computer to write, but now I can take this keyboard along with me anywhere I go. No MIDI input, earplugs or adapter are provided, no problems there. I just place 6 AA batteries in the keyboard and earphones in my ears. I love this keyboard! Absolutely! ... show more

  • Why didn't you mentioned that a power cord or batteries were needed?????
Color: PINK Style: SA-78
Nowhere on the product description does it suggest to by a power cord or that batteries were needed. So I have this gorgeous keyboard that does NOTHING. Very disappointed. The power cord should be FREE! We are in the middle of a pandemic. It's not like I can run out and get something today. Frustrating . Aaargh! ... show more
