Description

Casio's Privia digital pianos are renowned for their authentic playability and lifelike sound. Now, the PX-S1000 brings a fresh new design to the Privia series, bringing smart technology into your musical life. With its sleek glossy panel and unibody chassis, the PX-S1000 evokes a high-end acoustic grand, in a svelte modern design that's not much larger than the keys themselves. The touch sensor controls are revealed only after the power button is pressed and are easy to see in any light. They fade away when powered off, leaving only a clean, seamless top panel. And thanks to Casio's newly designed fully weighted Smart Scaled Hammer Action keyboard, the PX-S1000 provides uncompromising piano touch with a proprietary key scaling system that reproduces the characteristics of each of the 88 notes, while ebony and ivory key textures ensure confident, comfortable playing in any climate.

  • Really good keyboard
Color: Red Style: Boom microphone stand with a telescoping...
This keyboard has served me so well. Its keys are a little heavier than a real piano but it has a great touch and tone to it. It’s very compact and easy to use and really is a good deal for a professional digital piano.

  • What a beauty. What a beauty.
Color: Red Style: Boom microphone stand with a telescoping...
While I didn’t end up using it as much as I wanted, i learned a few pieces and love everything about it. The sound, the features, the feel, everything. I had to move recently and ran short with change and sold it to someone more passionate than I. Glad I did the amount of research I did before buying it 5 years ago. I’ll get a piano when I’m back on track soon. ... show more

  • Great keyboard
Color: Red Style: Boom microphone stand with a telescoping...
Love the color! My son was practicing on an old piano that sounded terrible. We love the classic piano sound and the ease of the keys. Such a great piece.

  • Recommended!
Color: Red Style: Boom microphone stand with a telescoping...
I bought this particular model because I loved the red finish! Key weight and response is quite good. The sound through the built-in speakers is not-so-good, but through my Bose headphones it sounds great. No regrets. It’s a very good instrument to keep us in practice when we are away from our baby grand. Recommended! ... show more

  • Major impovement
Color: Red Style: Boom microphone stand with a telescoping...
For the weight and price you can't beat the PXS 1000. Still sounds synthetic, but not as bad as earlier models. An enjoyable keyboard to play, looks cool too.

  • You can not use blue tooth headphones (air pods) with this keyboard.
Color: Red Style: Boom microphone stand with a telescoping...
Imagine my surprise when I diligently worked to connect my new blue tooth enable keyboard to my air pods, only to discover the keyboard only will connect to your phone, not to your wireless headphones, which is the main reason I purchased the keyboard! Arrggh. Very misleading. False advertising?! It is a very attractive keyboard, I got the red version. I will probably keep it since it is such a hassle to return and with the volume control it is possible to play without disturbing neighbors. ... show more

  • Nice Sounds and Interesting Design - Cheesy Build Quality and Action
Color: Red Style: Boom microphone stand with a telescoping...
Just to be clear: I tested this product, black and red models, in my local music store but did NOT purchase. (I am a college-trained musician, have professional experience, and have played a variety of digital and acoustic pianos over the last 30 years.) I am just providing a few initial impressions—do not expect a full, exhaustive review, by any means! The Casio is lightweight, svelte and modern in appearance, with some good quality sounds to be sure. However, just based on the construction of the instrument and the feel of the keys, I do not think it is in the league of similar Yamaha or Roland digital pianos (or Kawai, for that matter). I know there has been some positive buzz surrounding this offering from Casio, but the PX-S1000 just felt astonishingly cheap to me. For example, I was amazed by how much "bend" is in that plastic panel that runs across the front, just below the keys; you would expect that level of quality in a child's piano from a big box retailer, not in a keyboard that retails for several hundred dollars. Additionally, the action felt noticeably cheesier and less realistic than, say, a Roland FP-30 or Yamaha P-125, which are not significantly more expensive than the Casio. If you are serious about music and playing the piano, my recommendation would be to save up a bit more and spend it on a quality product from one of the trusted names in musical instrument manufacturing. ... show more
