  • Nice keyboard
Style: Standalone Keyboard Pattern Name: Keyboard Pack
This is a really nice keyboard. Many very interesting tones to choose from. I got it because I wanted a 60s/70s Hammond B3 with Leslie speaker sound that I couldn’t get from my older Casio keyboard, and there are multiple different selections that fit this need. And obviously there are many other nice tones as well. There are almost too many different tones/sounds to choose from (a good problem). It is very simple to select the different tones. Many of the other features are less intuitive and I have had some trouble figuring them out even with the manual. But I have figured out the features that I needed so far and I’m sure with time I will figure them all out. Overall a great instrument and a big upgrade from my prior Casio that I have had since the early 90s and at just under $200, I feel it was a good deal. ... show more

  • Perfect for beginners
Style: Standalone Keyboard Pattern Name: Keyboard Pack
The only thing I didn't like was the USPS mail man threw this keyboard on the dirt. No respect for people's belongings. I'm sure it's not the first time he's done this. I'm glad nothing was broken. Besides for that, this the keyboard I was looking for.

  • Good starter for beginner
Style: Standalone Keyboard Pattern Name: Keyboard Pack
I know nothing about pianos and am an absolute beginner. This keyboard is right for me. Many voices and samples from baby songs to classical. The best part I love this keyboard is the lessons. It teaches me how to play any built-in music one phase at a time. Each lesson breaks up into many phases and I started learning one phase at time. It even shows me which figure to use on each note. It teaches me to practice my right hand then my left hand. When I learned both hands separately then practice both hands together. I do not need to know how to read the sheet music. I learned Fur Elise by just following the lesson. There are many other famous classical built-in the library. I tried the Yamaha lessons too. It does not show you what fingers to use. The lesson is not as easy to follow comparing with this Casio. By the way, not all Casio or Yamaha comes with lessons. Yes, there are many online piano lessons but they are not free. The sound quality of this keyboard is good for its price. The keys are sort of slippery if you play long enough. But for less than $200 including tax, this is a good deal. However, if you are serious in learning how to play pianos and want to be a muscian or want to obtain a certificate. I think a full 88-key electric piano is right for you. ... show more

  • Great, Realistic sound
Style: Standalone Keyboard Pattern Name: Keyboard Pack
I bought my son a Casio keyboard more than 20 years ago for Christmas and was amazed at the fun sound effects alone, and the piano was a decent sound too. He still has it and it works to this day... I always wanted one like it but could talk him out of his, so I decided to shop for a electric piano, I had a couple narrowed down between a $600 Casio or $600 Yamaha... both had great reviews and claims to great sound and ease of use. but I was on a budget and wanted something quick so I bought the ctx700 and figured I would practice and learn this keyboard before spending a few more bucks for a better one. well I am glad I bought the ctx700 first for $180. The sound is incredible! and the price? I would have paid double or more for this keyboard... I think I paid the same $180 bucks 20 years agofor the one I got then and like I said it still is up and running. ok, I have meat hooks for hands but have plaid many instruments before including the piano when I was a kid. I have to get used to the keys but they work decent, I find the more money you spend the better the keys are, other wise they all do about the same sounds and effects. the more buttons the easier, because with less buttons you have to press a button more than once to make your choice...the ctx700 is fairly simple to learn but with some challenges. I look forward to practice and spending time learning the ctx700, my favorite rhythm drum set is the Indian fx. the sounds of the drums and voices are so fun to use , I was a pro in ten minutes playing along with a BALI wood movie, so much fun... I say after reading and comparing for a year and finally could fork over the money to get the ctx700 for a price next to nothing … I say BUY IT!!! ... show more

  • I am impressed with the sound quality and number of options
Style: Educational Pack Pattern Name: Keyboard Pack
I have owned this product for over 6 months. I am a complete beginner to piano/keyboard. OK, my mom tried to teach me when I was about 10 years old. (I failed to learn much past chop sticks!) I am 68 now. I read a few reviews stating it had poor sound quality and one person had a hiss when hooked up to a sound system. He tried 2x on different keyboards. Perhaps his cables or sound system was at fault. Whaaat? My wife and I both agree that the speakers provide a nice quality sound when playing. I am learning to play through an online course and have determined that my Casio CT-x700 is plenty for me to learn the keyboard. Maybe I won't be using it when I get my request to play with the Philadelphia philharmonic orchestra (LOL), but for now I am definitely pleased with my purchase. ... show more
