  • Casio CT-X3000 Video Review - Tutorial with Video Index
Style: Keyboard
The media could not be loaded. The Casio CT-X300 is a very cool keyboard. The 800 instrument sounds (Tones) sound very good. The instrument tones blend together nicely when recording multi track songs. The CT-X3000 has three ways to create music, you can create music using the built-in Rhythm Song Controller, Phrase Pads and 16 track midi recorder. I really like the 16 Track midi recorder because I can record any of the 800 instrument tones to any track and edit the composition as I go using Copy, Insert, Delete, Punch-In, Clear Measures, Clear Songs, Clear Tracks, Quantize and Event Edit. The sequencer in the CT-X3000 and CT-X5000 are the best sequencers of any of the arranger keyboards by any manufacturer on the market for the money. You also have 10 internal User Bank locations to save your sequenced songs and you can also save your songs as “Casio Midi Files” and “Standard Midi Files” to a USB Thumb Drive by using the USB Port on the back panel of the keyboard. The files can then be loaded into any DAW/Sequencer software or hardware sequencer. The CT-X3000 has 61 non-weighted keys and the touch sensitivity is spot on. The CT-X3000 also works very well as a controller keyboard. Simply press the “Function” button and scroll to the “Midi” menu and turn off “Local Control” and connect a standard USB cable from the keyboard to your computer. You can also select which Midi channels 1 through 16 to transmit your keyboard playing to your computer DAW/Sequencer software. You can also edit the instrument tones and multi effects and save the edited version to user memory banks and USB thumb drive. The Rhythm Songs can be modified and saved to user banks and USB thumb drive, you can also create new rhythms from scratch and save those too. Overall the CT-X3000 is a 5 Star keyboard. And all the features of the CT-X3000 are available in the CT-X5000 plus extra multi effects, memory storage, and two ¼ inch Left/Right output jacks and a few more features. I recommend you try the CT-X3000 or CT-X5000 if you want a full featured arranger keyboard at a great price. You will have to step up to professional grade arranger keyboards to get as many or more features. 5 Stars. I created a video demonstrating the multi track recording capabilities of the CT-X3000 so you can see how it works. There is a video index below so yo can skip to the features of interest to you. • Wonderful sound, but somewhat complicated to learn
Style: Keyboard
This is the second one of this model I have purchased. After about a year of owning the first one soon after it was introduced, I gave it to my great niece, a recent cardiac RN graduate who was battling anorexia and enjoyed playing it. I then got a keyboard from a youth thrift store but most of the instruments sounded like toys, but the piano sounded great. I had basically forgotten how to make this model sound like an orchestra....at age 86 some of us don't remember so well! Through trial and error, I am figuring it out. When I see a word like "function" flashing, I figure that's what I need to look up! I suspect the Casio CTX 700 would have been adequate but I am having fun with this one and some of the residents at this Senior Residence where I live also enjoy playing it...at least playing the piano tones! I'm sure a younger person would learn to do a lot more with it (I get frustrated with my Smartphone), but I love to sit down and play "Somewhere My Love", with the sounds of 4 or more instruments, play taps on Memorial Day along with all the songs of the branches of military, making them sound like a real military band, or play a Polka that sounds like the accordion I used to play, but no longer can lift. Music, whether playing, dancing to, or just listening is a wonderful stress reliever and it can really bring people together. I am so glad Casio has this instrument available at what I consider a reasonable cost, and if my 10 and 13 year old great grandkids didn't live 2000 miles away, they could help me learn all the "bells and whistles", but sometimes we use social media and play songs together. And Amazon has some great options for paying for items over a 3 or more months period. Thank you, Amazon!!! ... show more

  • Great value and quality piano
Style: Keyboard
Very nice keyboard. It has lots of options and sounds great. If you are just a beginner like me, it actually has too many options, but why not start out with a good piano and learn as you go. You can’t go wrong with this piano considering the cost. You would spend a lot more on some other brands with the same features. This piano has all you need and then some to get started. ... show more

  • Amazing Casio Keyboard
Style: Keyboard
The Casio 61-Key Portable Keyboard (CT-X3000) is simply amazing. It is very portable and very easy to navigate. The speaker sound is great. The instruments and tones are great. The connectivity ports on the back of the keyboard are exactly what you need. Although it only has 61 keys, you can adjust the entire keyboard up and down octaves to play any notes you want. This keyboard is suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced musicians. I love it and highly recommend it. ... show more
