On black it's more intense and looks pink/purple with soap bubble effect, on my gold phone, it's a more subtle clear case with the intensely colored soap bubble effect. Not obnoxious, fun but classy. Colors are beautiful in the light. Definitely changes depending on the type of lighting- I posted pics in my living and dining rooms to illustrate how much it changes with the lighting. Photos and videos completely unedited. It's also a well built case that still feels comfortable in the hand and doesn't add a lot of bulk. Brilliant design with edges raised just enough to protect the screen and camera and additional little bumpers just at the corners that make you feel super safe setting it down but without adding overall bulk. This case seems to be holding up well. Through several drops and three kids I’ve been lucky so far. The buttons line up appropriately and the case was relatively easy to put on. It does not obscure the camera, charging port, or speakers. It doesn’t seem to scratch easily and it is not slippery. The back has raised sections to prevent camera getting scratches and the clear case with but “foil glow” enhances the phones colors and looks nice. ... show more

This is a great case. Very well made and protective all around. I love the oil slick appearance to it, the way the color shifts. I’ve dropped my phone several times and it’s protected it well and the case shows no sign of wear after 2 months.

It doesn’t have a MagSafe magnetic ring like my clear Case Mate has. I gave up carrying a purse and keep my mag wallet with on my phone at all times. I see the option of buying a ring to attach. Might try that

This is the second Casemate that I’ve had over the years. They usually hold up well and I dropped the other one probably 8 feet and it didn’t hurt the phone. That’s why I bought this one. I knew that the other one worked well. The only thing I’m not sure about is this one doesn’t have any grips on the side and I felt like the other one had a little bit more of a grip to it on the side, even though the case looks the exact same. Was waiting for this one to arrive today 9/16/22 when the iPhone 14 ProMax were released. They both arrived nearly same time! My ProMax is the Gold Color and I ordered this case in anticipation and on past experience with Casemate cases. Never had issues. It’s easy to put on the phone, it molds to the phone nice and tight, protecting as it should. The rocker buttons are very gentle and easy to use not hard at all. Removing the case is easy also, just take one corner at a time (I always do lower first). The lip around the camera on the backside is nicely protected. Same with the bumper around the front. It feels good in your hands not slippery, but a good grip. You can still see the color of the phone itself. I don’t mind the casemate logo in the center lower backside because the Gold Karat flake designs are just gorgeous and that sells this case itself. 5 Gold Stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... show more

This is terrible quality. I had an identical older version of this case from casemate and it was much higher quality and it lasted me almost 2 years. Because Of how much I loved my previous case I wanted to replace it with the exact same one. When the new one came, I noticed that the plastic was kind of And had a white sheen to it as you can see in the side-by-side pictures. About a 6 Weeks into using it, both of the sides have separated from the back of the case has seen in the first picture. When it came in the mail, I thought maybe it was a scam and a dupe but I needed a case for vacation and just used it anyways but now I’m wondering what the heck I bought ... show more
