I bought this desk for my son’s room, which is not very big, and it turned out to be a perfect fit. The size is just right and it gives him enough space for studying and using the computer without making the room feel crowded. The rustic brown color looks very nice, and the overall design is practical and modern. It was also easy to assemble with clear instructions. One thing to note is that the tower space on the desk is not large enough for the computer we bought for him — the case is too big and heavy to fit in the designated spot. I bought this to use in conjunction with my vanity. The size of as perfect for my small bedroom, had space for all of my school books and notebooks. The Casaottima 55” L-Shaped Desk has been one of my favorite purchases for my home office/ guest room space. I was nervous about finding something sturdy enough for my 49-inch monitor, but this desk fits it perfectly with plenty of room left over for my laptop, mouse and keyboard. The setup was surprisingly easy with the option the assemble the L shape on the right or left. The black finish looks clean and modern, and it really helps the whole space feel more put together. The desk feels solid, doesn’t wobble, and has held up great so far. Overall, it’s a great value and honestly better than I expected. Easy to assemble for intermediate assemblers, took me 2 hours tops. It came together nicely and has a premium feel and look to it. I did it by myself so two people could manage it in an hour or so. Its really nice and built to go either way in a L shape. I love it!

The dimensions for the 40 inch are not as stated. Almost every dimension comes up short. For example, the full length is supposed to be 40 in., but the actual full length is 39.37 in. Height is only off by 0.05 in. (actual height is 29.75 in.). Of the measurements provided in the image for the 40 inch version, the comparisons once built are shorter by 0.05-0.65 in. This might account for why this desk is priced at $53.99 consistently for the past 5-6 months (despite the constant "Limited time deal" and similar false promos). All that said, the desk does seem sturdy enough for now. There were some troubles with the premade holes not lining up exactly and made assembly tricky, but nothing that couldn't be overcome. However, this could lead to future stability issues. Because of the small size and lack of drawers, there's not much in the way of storage. With the tiny shelves, it is what you make of it. I'm a relatively short/small person and can usually get comfortable at even tiny desks, but I would not count on assuming the L-shape will give you any additional space for storing things. (The whole reason I chose to "upgrade" my small desk was to have more surface space, but this was not it.) The L-corner is so tiny, it's better as an arm-rest or place to set a cup/mug than for any other purpose. If lowest price and super basic functionality are your biggest concerns, this small desk will do the trick. ... show more
