I ordered this Casaottima Book Shelf, 6 Tier Tall Bookshelf, Modern Wood Bookcase Shelves for Bedroom, Industrial Display Shelf to store books in our bedroom. I’m a writer; I’ve written plenty of books, and I have a huge collection of books, especially British fantastical children’s literature. Our whole family are voracious readers; we love fiction, non fiction, history, plays, musicals, scores, cookbooks, kids books, grown up books, great literature and great schlock alike. A few times a year we go mad at a book fair or used book store, our NYC neighborhood has a “book fairy” that leaves out ARCS on a regular basis to the first comer, Christmas isn’t complete without dozens of new books to delve into—all of which is a long way of saying we have the habit of letting books stack up until we need another bookcase. We were storing stacks of books behind the bedroom door, and realized that suddenly it was difficult to open the door completely—time for another bookcase. This bookcase is made from steel and wood. My husband assembled it in about 10-15 minutes; he needed me to help hold it a couple times, but made quick work of the project. He was pleased that the included hardware kit included spares; it’s always good to have a few extra screws and fasteners, as they can break or get lost during the assembly process. This also came with hardware to anchor it to the wall; it took just a few moments for him to do this. The bookcase comes in different color schemes; we ordered the white, which looks very nice in our bedroom. There are six shelves in this bookcase, which measures about 20” wide x 9 1/2” deep x 69” tall. This small footprint was ideal for our bedroom; we already had a full wall of bookshelves, but there was just enough room to sneak this slim shelf next to the last large bookshelf and behind the bedroom door. We live in a small house in the middle of NYC, long on period charm and short on storage. This bookcase is small enough to tuck into a corner, which is just what we did. The six shelves (counting the top) hold a ton of books; we double stacked trade paperbacks in four layers on some shelves, and had plenty of room for large hardbacks, too. The bookcase is slim and tall, and holds many more books than we expected—we had four waist high stacks that needed homes, and we figured we’d maybe get half of them on the shelves. They’re all shelved, and we have room for more books when next we go on a book spree. At the current price ($59.99) I think this is a really nice bargain; I was a bit concerned that a bookshelf at this price point might be wobbly, but it’s square and stable. The all white design is simple and classic, it could work with almost any decor style. Attractive, easy to assemble, and sturdy, this bookcase is perfect for the bedroom, office, living room, or anywhere you need to store books. A great addition to our home.

This is a very nice looking, modern shelf that will look great in any room. Assembly took just about 30 minutes or so. It came very well packaged. The size is great and it provides ample storage for books and trinkets. The quality is good. It looks great.

I set this shelf up in the dining area and turned it into a small coffee bar. Even though it has a slim footprint, it holds a lot. The six shelves give me space for my coffee syrups, coffee canisters, mugs, and a few baskets for storage—without making the space feel cluttered. It’s lightweight but sturdy. Once assembled and tightened up, it doesn’t wobble. The X-brace in the back adds extra support, and it comes with an anti-tip kit, which is a good feature for safety. The adjustable feet were helpful too, especially since the floor in that area isn’t perfectly even. Assembly was straightforward. All the parts were labeled, and the instructions were easy to follow. The shelves have a smooth finish that wipes clean easily. The wood grain is more subtle and modern, but it still looks good in the space.

2025/05 — This is a WONDERFUL bookcase from Casaottima and I’m so pleased they brought it to Vine for review because it is _exactly_ what I was looking for. When you are limited by floorspace, as I am, but you need to increase your CUBIC SQUARE FEET of storage this lovely bookcase is tailor made for just such a situation: Six shelves measuring 18.9” x 9½” x 13⅛” inches provide you with OVER 8 CUBIC FEET* of storage with a footprint so small you almost can’t believe it! Because the bookcase has so shallow a DEPTH it’s important to note that Casaottima includes an “ANTI-TIP KIT” so you can literally screw the bookcase to a wall to prevent its tipping over in an earthquake. Two heavy duty metal STABILIZING BARS form an X spanning two of the shelves behind the bookcase to further brace the unit from slipping its rails over time. Casaottima has really thought of everything in this marvel of storage efficiency! I ordered the all Black version but there is also a version with faux wood shelves you can order as well. In sum, to gain over 8 CUBIC FEET of storage with this small of a footprint is amazing and I’m so grateful to Casaottima for bringing this handsome piece to Amazon! 5 Stars *including the top shelf

This is a great little bookshelf that worked perfectly for the small nook we wanted to fill. While it’s on the narrower side at about 9.45 inches deep and 20 inches wide, it stands just over 70 inches tall, giving you plenty of vertical storage without taking up a lot of floor space. Its slim design makes it ideal for tight spaces like bedrooms, home offices, or living rooms where you need extra storage but don’t have room for larger furniture. Despite its smaller footprint, this shelf feels very sturdy. We’ve used it to store books, small plants, picture frames, and other decorative items without any concerns about stability. The industrial-style frame combined with the vintage wood finish gives it a nice modern look that fits well with a variety of decor styles. Assembly was straightforward and all the parts fit together well. The overall result looks great and feels solid once assembled. If you’re looking for a space-saving storage solution that still provides plenty of shelving, this is a great option. We’re very pleased with how it turned out and would definitely consider getting another one for other areas of the house.
