This is the first book I have read from Sadie King but I really loved this book. Carver is a quick read filled with an alpha male protective cop, a naive young woman going to school and living with untrustworthy people, insta-love, an arrest, and an HEA. Carver is a police officer who finds himself instantly attracted to Amber who finds herself not only ditched by a roommate but then arrested. The attraction between the two is off the charts and a slow burn. A well written story line with wonderful characters readers will fall in love with. *spoilers below* Sometimes things felt like they jumped around and other times the pacing was okay. Most things resolved very quickly too. It's hard to explain why I didn't rate this higher because it wasn't bad, but it just didn't pull me in enough. The h is in her early 20s. The H is in his early 30s. The h is a virgin.
