  • Fall saver
Size: M (Men:5-8/ Women:7-10)
We have given these Ice Grips many times for Christmas gifts, not being an owner myself, my husband bought a set for me this Christmas (2018). Being and amputee that wears a prosthesis, it's not the easiest to find shoes/boots that will also fit my prosthesis, and my remaining foot. Also, being 58, I really can't afford to risk a fall. Just last week, we went on vacation to WV , while there the Polar Vortex snow and ice storm hit. We knew there was a possibility so I packed the ice grips. After a day out traveling, I proceeded to get out of the vehicle, not thinking, my foot starting sliding out from under me. I was able to grab the overhead handle and keep myself from sliding any further. My husband immediately got me to get back into the truck and he grabbed the ice grips and put them over my shoes I was wearing.(slip-on Sketchers) Next, I stepped out as before and the ice grips worked wonderfully !! I was then able to walk to the doorway with absolutely no trouble at all. We went out daily and I used them each and every time. I have 2 recommendations. 1. Place on and take off ice grips before stepping onto indoor flooring, as I could see the small spikes, making an indention on it...2 order your reg shoe size. They are rubber and stretch over your shoe. You want them to be a little snug...def. not loose. ... show more

  • Good grips - work well for light ice over hard surfaces
Size: M (Men:5-8/ Women:7-10)
I like these grips for light ice that is on hard surfaces like concrete, wood decks or asphalt. The pins on the bottom will penetrate the light ice and provide more traction. However, they are not perfect so don't think you can put them on and go running on ice and have perfect traction - there is nothing that will do that. One detraction from these and most ice grips is that the pins will create a very slippery condition if you walk off an icy surface and onto something without ice. For example, if you walk into a building or store that has tile floor, the pins do not dig in and grip the tile, and you can find yourself sliding all over the place. I do not recommend these for long times on ice that is over gravel or grass/dirt or other type surfaces. For those applications I recommend STABILicers Walk Traction Ice Cleat and Tread (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GUCDDG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) as they have longer cleats and they are flat (not round pins) and offset at 90 degree angles to provide better grip in both front-to-back and side-to-side directions and they also dig in deeper. These do not work as well on light or thin ice as the cleats can dig through the thin ice and hit the hard surface underneath and leave the rubber bottom elevated off the ice surface and cause the same kind of slipping as if you walked on a hard tile floor. ... show more

  • Inspection and detail I hope you get a complete idea of what these are
Size: S (Men:3-5/ Women:5-7)
The media could not be loaded. 4 stars for price I paid and the product appears in perfect condition and all the enclosed pieces were present in my package. The cleats look like they will absolutely grip ice with out failure. The under foot toe area has the most concentration of cleats and when you are walking you do feel the cluster of cleats under the ball of your foot. Consider, I tried them with sneakers (pictured) not on my winter boots yet. The rubber is pretty thick and provides all the tension needed to keep these on your footwear. I especially like how high the heal of these ice cleats rests on the shoe assuring it stays in place. If the cleats fall out at a ridiculous rate I would consider this a serious design flaw and rate this item (1) star. I purchased two items. ... show more

  • Don't leave home without these
Size: L (Men:8-11/ Women:10-13)
Is there any ice where you live? If yes, Then have a pair of these handy. No matter how careful I try to be, without them, I almost always take a spill once or twice a winter. With these, perfect traction. These can damage tile or wood floors so cannot be worn inside on those surfaces like some other makes such as Yaktrax but the trouble with those has been the wire will wear and break and they they can catch on carpet. No matter what brand you purchase, anything to grip the ice is a smart move in the winter. ... show more

  • CALL ME SUREFOOT
Size: L (Men:8-11/ Women:10-13)
I LOVE THESE CLEATS! i have thoroughly field tested these bad boys through 2 snow storms and the icy melt/freeze that followed and i couldn't be more pleased. 1) they fit on my docs, my cross-trainer sneakers, AND my cowboy boots; any shape of shoe i with which i go out in the snow. 2) they fit snugly and go off and on without me breaking a nail. 3) thwy have the cleats right where i need them for either heel-toe, or toe-heeliing it. 4) the cleats are spaced and flat against the sole of the shoe such that i don't feel them when i am walking. they grip into anything except smooth re-frozen ice -like ice rink ice frozen puddles of melt. i may simply not have enough weight to get them to bite in to that, but if it is crackly or has snow on top of it they work great. when i hit a cleared parking lot or concrete sidewalk, i am still stable though they make a bit of a racket. like snow chains on tires. they thoughtfully included extra cleats, but these seem made for hard use and appear to be very durable, showing no signs of wear or weakness after approximately 20 miles of hard urban trekking on broken sidewalks, brick streets, and standard asphalt. after field testing, i just leave them on my snow boots. these are the among the best winter gear items i have bought. ... show more

  • Didn't get to use them yet
Size: M (Men:5-8/ Women:7-10)
I like that these will make me feel better to try something on my shoes, and not fall on my butt. Didn't get to try them yet. Put them on the shoes and off. It was a little bit of thinking the more you put them on and off it gets better. I will tell you how it goes when I use them on the snow and ice. * up date ! We still didn't have snow or ice yet. * I got a med. for size 8 and it will fit the size 7 boot. for the person who ask. ... show more

  • Don't waste your money!
Size: M (Men:5-8/ Women:7-10)
I deliver packages. By the end of the first shift all the studs were lost and I was walking on just the rubber straps. One kept coming off at the heel and was eventually lost. I would have been better off strapping dollar bills to my shoes.

  • Not stretchy - get the right size
Size: S (Men:3-5/ Women:5-7)
They work great, for the shoes that they fit. They don't stretch enough to fit my shoes (I hoped for more stretch), so the family uses these. Just make sure you take them off before you get to any surface that you care about - the cleats DIG IN and will mess up your deck or wood floors.
