Description

Step 1: Harvest First, we cut the seasoned stalks into smaller pieces of raw bamboo. Step 2: Process Next, the bamboo is soaked in a solution via a closed loop process to ensure that this process is as sustainable as the bamboo it soaks. Step 3: Dry This solution breaks down the bamboo fibers, extracting the bamboo pulp that is then dried into parchment- like sheets. Step 4: Mill and Sew Once thoroughly dried, these sheets are ready to be milled into a soft, fluffy material referred to as viscose from bamboo. It is then separated and spun into thread that’s used to create yarn for weaving. The end result is a naturally luxurious fabric that's twice as soft as cotton. It is with regret that I must provide "one" star as this product deserves "NO" stars. When we first opened the package we noticed a very strong pungent odor, chemical in nature is the only way to describe it. We thought maybe this is just off-gassing of a bamboo material, so we washed the product but the odor remained. We washed the product again with a soak cycle, and the odor remained - no change in strength of odor! It is so pungent an entire room is overwhelmed within an hour or so. We have moved the product into the garage to get it out of the house. Of course shipping back is the only recourse, which in itself is a hassle and just adds to the frustration. I have NEVER submitted a review, positive or negative, but I have never been this disappointed and frankly offended by a product. ... show more

I received two sets of these as a wedding gift, and I'm so upset about how limited their durability is. Pros: These sheets are ridiculously soft when you first get them. I was so happy and excited to try them out - and slept super well for the first few nights! Cons: They're now completely pill-y and falling apart after less than five washes, each of which followed the care instructions (cold water, no bleach). For the price of these sheets, it's an absolute rip-off. What an absolute disappointment. I was very excited to try these sheets. I loved the color and the premise of the bamboo fibers keeping you cooler at night and eco-friendly aspect when I looked online at them. They are very soft, which is the only good thing I found about these sheets. The elastic is horrible and doesn't hold at all to the bed, constantly coming off the mattress multiple times a night. The color started coming out right away in the wash and on our skin leaving white spots on the sheets.The wrinkles are horrible and the sheets get worse every time you sleep in them. Washing them as instructed didn’t help the wrinkling at all. They didn’t keep you stay cool at night like they say. I was actually hotter every night and had a harder time sleeping or staying asleep with the constant battle of trying to stay cool. I even wore the lightest and thinnest clothes to bed to no avail. They also aren’t deep cornered like they mentioned. I hated these sheets so much that I bought new sheets after 4 months. ... show more

We like the sheets a lot, however my husband noticed a tear on the side of the fitted sheet the other day. We've had them for about 2 months and the tear is on the side and in a place that wouldn't be from normal wear and tear (not to mention, we haven't had them long enough to wear them).     • TERRIBLE QUALITY NOT WORTH THE MONEY

I bought these and was super excited about them. When they got here I loved the color and the feel a lot. But the more time that went on the worse they got. After 3 washes there was a slight tear in the fitted sheet and for how much they cost I was NOT okay with that. I sent an email to Cariloha and they sent me new ones and said I must have gotten a defective one so they sent me a new set. THIS SET WAS WORSE. It didn't feel as nice, after having them for 6 months they started to peel and feel scratchy. I feel guilty for spending THAT much money on sheets that I only loved the feel of the first time I slept in them. ... show more
