Only review you need to read. Order two inches up on waist. I am a 34 (in all other pants) and 36 fit great in the morning after wash and dry, a little loose by EOD but thats all pants. I am a 32 length but these are too long so order an inch or two down. Also these are not slim fit pants, though slimmer than relaxed or loose. If you’re looking for thigh huggers go buy Levi’s. These are super comfy all day working and much more well made than most $50 work pants. If you’re a hipster move along. Carhartt sizing is way off so don’t waste your time with returns just follow my advice. Love these pants aside from the measurement discrepancies.

Great pant, nice quality fabric that is tough, but comfortable with a bit of stretch to it. Waist fits as expected, leg is nice and long. I will say that the fit is more of a slim fit vs a straight fit, which is OK but a bit slimmer ( about the same as a ‘slim fit’ from J crew or Banana Rep) than I would like so I’m not going to put these in the dryer.

I have 3 pairs of these pants in 32x34 and all 3 are differently sized. The first pair I bought are a perfect fit, the second pair I bought are noticeably tighter and about 1" shorter, and the third pair I bought were a slightly looser fit and about 1" longer. I like the first pair a lot and these would be my go to work pants if they were sized correctly and consistently. Carhartt needs to get a handle on their QC, I don't even have these sorts of issues on cheap knock offs from Walmart.

Update: Just took these up in the mountains and used them hiking/fishing. It was mostly cold in the 50s and rainy the time we were there and only hit 75 one or two days. In the 75 degree weather my legs were sweating while hiking. I switched to shorts. But where they shine is in the cold weather. I wish I had taken 2 pairs. So for summer I will definitely not wear these pants. But winter time they will be prime time. Great fit, thick and rugged. Again not made for SoCal summers. TAPERED LEG! YES!!! These pants are awesome. I purchased these for camping and home repair. I just wish there was more than just 3 colors. At least a dark brown would be cool. They are thick so summertime will be an issue. Otherwise great pants.
