This turned out to be a great buy. The pants are worth the price. Very comfortable and easy to move around in. The pocket placement was perfect for my phones. The pockets are wide enough, but not too wide that the phone turns sideways while walking. This has been a problem with other brands, but works well with these pants. The only thing I would change would be the front belt loops. They are far apart causing the belt to ride up a little. But that can be altered. I got these to replace another style of Carhartt work pants that they no longer make for my husband and so far he likes them. Per the reviews, they do run small around the waist so I did order him a size larger than he usually wears which was a good idea. This style doesn't have as much stretch and the fabric isn't as thick as the previous style but we're hoping this will work as the replacement for the discontinued style. My husband is a trucker, who also tinkers on cars all the time so I'm hoping these wash and dry well. Will update review if they don't. ... show more

I've bought the older version of these pants for many years. When it was time to order more they were listed as unavailable and these were the new version. I like the color but the durability of these pants is questionable. It's a lighter weight material that is not going to hold up. The reconfiguration of the side leg pockets is also a down grade. The old leg pockets had an additional snapped compartment seen in the photo of my old pair. I used this every day and all of these compartments have been sized differently. When I try carrying the items I've always carried they fall out of these pockets. For the increased cost of these pants there is not any upside. Very disappointed in Carhartt. ... show more
