Carhartt makes the best work and work cargo pants imaginable. They are sturdy, well thought out, the pockets are big enough and numerous enough to hold what you need, they look good and they fit well. They are worth the extra price.

My husband loves to order these pants for working in. He likes having multiple pockets to store extra screws and wire caps etc. the material is also very thick and I imagine they’d be great for winter wear, although he mostly takes advantage of that to protect his legs while he works. The two reasons I didn’t give them 5 stars were, one, because considering how good the quality of the fabric is, the seams are considerably poorer quality. They rip very easily and don’t usually even manage to last a full year before they need replacing. The second is they tend to stretch out on him when he sweats or they get damp, causing them to fit fine in the morning and by the afternoon his belt is the only thing keeping them from falling around his ankles. Considering his line of work, (hvac) I’d say that most people wouldn’t have the same issues with them that he has. ... show more
