  • Absolutely the best quality
Size: 3X-Large Color: Carhartt Brown
Thirty years ago I bought a simple 2-pocket, front zipper canvas no-sleeve vest by Carhartt. It was made in Vietnam. That vest has no tears, no zipper problem, and the Sherpa fleece is intact. That Carhartt experience plus recommendation from family encouraged me to buy a new jacket by Carhartt. In the Pacific NW, I spend plenty of time outdoors, more doing yard work and auto or home repair than for play. Finding this jacket online took me at least an hour, but it was time well spent! My priorities were quality of materials and quality fabrication, with functionality and style tied for second place. This jacket hit all the Yes buttons. It fits perfectly, feels and looks extremely well made, and it has pockets galore, with great fasteners. The zipper is heavy duty! I expect the jacket to last thirty years. People who rarely praise my apparel say this Carhartt looks really great on me. It should, since it IS great. I agree with others who say the fit is just slightly big. Mine is 3XL, and has enough slack so I could wear a sweater between shirt and jacket on subfreezing days. It has wrist cuffs that are unseen while being worn, but keep the wind from blowing up a sleeve. The only tiny flaw for me is that the hood, though very comfortable, isn't detachable. It warms my head, neck and ears well. My personal preference is the ability to not always have the bulk of a hood behind me. This in no way would discourage me from buying a second jacket, nor does it discourage me from giving a strong buy recommendation. BTW, this jacket was made in Indonesia. Packaging was a generous 2-stars. My purchase was crammed in a thin walled carton, which bulged from the pressure. I opened the box with a very sharp knife. Had I not been very deliberate and cautious, I could have cut the jacket. If I could give the jacket six stars I would! ... show more

  • Amazing jacket. Damn near a perfect 10/10. Medium Tall size fits beautifully for tall slender men.
Size: Medium Tall Color: Carhartt Brown
Very few negative things to say about this jacket. The material is great, the mobility is great, and the sherpa and quilted lining both feel really nice. The overall weight of the jacket is very welcome. They rate it as warmth level 2, but it is very warm and comfortable. Construction quality is superb, with tight triple stitching everywhere that counts. Only very small complaint is that the side pockets are a bit tight. I have to basically cram my hands in there. With Carhartt you get what you pay for, and are very rarely left disappointed. ... show more

  • High Quality, Warm, Runs Larger Than Expected
Size: Medium Tall Color: Black
I’m familiar with Carhartt’s quality, but I wasn’t sure about the sizing. I’m 5'8" and 180 pounds, and I was on the fence between a size L and M. I have a Carhartt rainproof hoodie in size L that’s oversized on me—which was the look I wanted for that piece—but for this jacket, I wanted a more fitted feel. I decided to go with the M Tall. Even though I’m not tall, I wanted the jacket to be slightly longer. I’m happy to say it fits perfectly. The quality is excellent—sturdy and well-made—and the lining is very warm. The price was also lower than I expected. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • A Game Changer for Cold NY Winters
Size: 4X-Large Color: Dark Brown
I had been wearing the same worn-out winter jacket for 11 long years, and finally deciding to replace it with Carhartt's Washed Duck Sherpa-Lined Utility Jacket was a game-changing decision. Here's why: Pros: Exceptional Warmth: The sherpa lining of this jacket provides superior insulation, making it perfect for those biting NY winters. I was amazed at how much more comfortable I felt, even in freezing temperatures. Stylish and Practical: The jacket is not only warm but also looks great. Its relaxed fit makes it comfortable for daily wear, whether for work or casual outings. Durable Construction: Carhartt is known for its rugged design, and this jacket is no exception. The washed duck material feels sturdy without being stiff, promising long-term durability. Versatile Utility: With practical pockets and thoughtful design, it's clear that this jacket was made with the working individual in mind. It's perfect for outdoor labor or just braving the cold on a day out. Worth Every Penny: Although I was hesitant to replace my old jacket, the investment in this Carhartt jacket was well worth it. The quality, warmth, and functionality are unmatched. Cons: Why Didn't I Buy This Sooner?: My only regret is not having bought this jacket years ago. I can't believe I missed out on so much comfort. Conclusion: The Carhartt Men's Relaxed Fit Washed Duck Sherpa-Lined Utility Jacket is a must-have for anyone dealing with cold winters. It combines functionality with style, durability with comfort, and offers value that is hard to beat. I'm now looking forward to winter, knowing I have this jacket to keep me warm. • Nice weight & a Very good fit - true to size
Size: Medium Color: Gravel
Heavier than I expected — has a warmth rating of 2 (moderate) my guess, will be fine into the low 30’s A good number of pockets; needs at least one larger zippered pocket for cellphone; inside left pocket with zipper should do, but should be a larger size. Most pockets are too small & need zippers Elastic in cuffs is very good elastic; on the tight side but I’m sure will stretch a bit after awhile. Typical great canvas material. Sherpa lining adds a bit of tightness to the jacket but when I move & flex my arms there’s plenty of room to move; NOT binding at all. I think it feels tight bcause the material has to loosen up & stretch a bit after it breaks in. Jacket is NOT restrictive at all. The medium should fit anyone in 170’s 5 6” to 5 9” range just fine — no room to layer up. Sherpa is bulky & doesn’t leave room for a sweatshirt but it’s so warm, I’ll not be needing layers I don’t like the hood - feels bulky with the thick Sherpa lining — but maybe I’ll appreciate that on a cold windy day & again, hopefully that will loosen up some once material flexes & breaks in Jacket feels like it’ll take a beating & last for a long long time. No regrets !!! A great choice. ... show more
