The jeans are very rugged and look cool. They fit a little below the waist and look a little "hip" (sorry about the bad pun). They fit well at the waist and thighs. They are a little tight around the hips but that works out once you've worn them a few times and I find them comfortable. The are a bit darker than the typical denim color but in a good way that kind of reminds me of "old time" dungarees. I have three pairs of Carhartt 29-30 pants already and they fit correctly. I ordered 29-30 Carhartt pants here and they say 29-30 on the tag and stickers but they are three inches to long so I'll roll them up and wait on the flood. Still good pants just not the same length as other Carhartt pants
