I'm so glad I discovered these comfy and TOUGH Carhartt work pants. I've given up on most brands. All the details dial right in, zippers, pockets, the ability to bend over easily, it's all here. I've set aside one set of these pants to keep pristine, and a second set to wear hard, come what may. I don't know why my favorite colors 1-Chocolate Brown, and 2-Midnight go out of stock so quickly, both in their own retail stores and on Amazon. (?)     • Great Pants--Just Need to Be Washed to Fit Perfectly
I bought Carhartt work dungarees since I wanted durable pants I could use for snow blowing, cutting the grass, and doing other work around the house. I also am a teacher, so I need pants that will look good for me in school. These pants sure are just right for outdoor work and school. What I like is the back pockets are nice and large. My over-sized wallet fits perfectly. The front pockets are big enough and sturdy enough to hold everything you want to put inside. The other benefit is that since they are work dungarees, the pockets are designed to carry all sorts of items in them without getting holes in them. I am a physically larger person and these pants actually make me look good. They fit really well. The best part is that when you bend, stretch, or pick up something you aren't going to have a blow out on the side of the pants or in the crotch area. I just wish I had purchased these about ten years ago. There are also added side pockets for tools or whatever you want. The material is great and also the pants fit a bit loose, which I like. The material doesn't chafe you, but you can tell it can stand up to wear and tear. If you are a hard-on-clothing sort of person, then buy these pants. You won't regret it. ... show more

I've only used them a few times but even just the idea of having a specific pair of pants to dirty up adds a few stars to this product. My girl is so happy to throw away the battered pair of pants I've been using. I dirtied them up when I was fixing my vehicle so you can imagine the grease and oil and various other fluids I was in. These pants not only stood up to sliding on the concrete driveway but also washed out any stains in them I obtained in the process. The fit is a bit tight but that might be because I ordered a 30x30 and have gained some weight since then. I like the loose feel in the thighs and down to the ankles but my favorite aspect is the durability of them. The pockets are deep enough and made out of a stronger material than my jeans. Pokes and rips can happen on the inside but they have more integrity than any other pants I've owned. All in all these are my favorite work pants I've owned and can't wait to stress test them even further. 5/5 ... show more

Runs Small in the Waist – Order Up These Carhartt pants run small in the waist. I ordered a 34, which is my usual size, and I can’t even get them closed. That one’s on me—I bought them while recovering from surgery and planned to wear them later, so I didn’t try them on right away. What really stings is that I’ve lost about 12 lbs since surgery, so if anything, they should fit now. They don’t. Not even close. That said, the pants themselves look great. The color is excellent—sort of a hunter/forest green—and the material feels rugged and work-ready, exactly what I needed. If you’re buying these, I’d strongly recommend sizing up in the waist. Shame, because otherwise they’re solid-looking pants. ... show more

    • Great Pants for Carpenters and Contractors, Have Lasted for 5 Years
I have 5 pairs of this exact pant. They lasted 5 years before they started to develop holes in the knees. They got a lot of abuse from laying tile, cutting trim on a mitre saw on the ground, or crawling under a house. Once they got holes in the knees I had to get some new ones. Besides being unsightly in public they also make putting on your pants a problem as your big toe will likely want to stick out the hole as you put them on also making the hole want to slowly rip larger as well. When using a chainsaw the wood chips will also tend to enter thru the holes and make your socks and shoes full of chips. I checked the tags in my old pair which led me to these. B11 is the pant style. I did notice that my old tags from pants purchased 5-7 years ago said "Made in Nicaragua from Materials Sourced in the USA". These new pants say "Made in Nicaragua from Foreign Materials". Oh well. They still seem like the same tough, thick fabric. I particularly like this color, Desert, as after 5 years of weekly washings they faded to a still nice lighter version of themselves. Putting these new pair side by side with my old showed just how much the color has changed, but instead of your normal "oh, this had faded look, I though, Oh this has lightened in color". The other darker colors of this pant after so many washings look like they are fading. I almost prefer the lighter color. Overall I have been very happy with these pants and am very glad to own new pairs free of holes, paint, and threads at the bottoms. Well it's time to get back to work! 5 Stars Easy.
