Made of 50% cotton/50% polyester fabric, carhartt's midweight hooded pullover sweatshirt works well when the weather turns cool. Comfort is enhanced with its attached hood with draw-cord closure. Front hand-warmer pockets are standard, as are its rib-knit cuffs and waist band that keep out the cold and seal in the warmth. Charcoal heather fiber content is 55% cotton / 45% polyester. Heather gray fiber content is 70% cotton / 30% polyester.

There is a reason these things are so hard to find. This is the best hoodie on the market. Made very well, heavy weight, fits great. I have several hoodies in other brands, they are now never worn since I got the Carhartt hoodie. The others all seem like cheap imitations now. Spend the money and get this hoodie. You won't regret it. I looked forever for the Rain Defender with the logo on the sleeve version of this hoodie to wear on wet days. The one I had was stolen. Everywhere was sold out or back-ordered. Finally found one in size and color I wanted that would let me purchase it on amazon but the delivery date keeps getting pushed off because these things are so hard to come by. Been waiting 2 months to receive it and it has put me off again another 6 weeks on expected delivery. Fortunately I got the one I am now reviewing fairly quickly. If you find the one you want in your color and size you better order it ASAP. I’m 6ft with a slim build. I ordered a Medium and it fits like a large. Carhartt is infamous for the sizing. It has not shrink in the drier and it does quite well in the cold weather. This review is after a months worth of use when wearing it 3 days out of everyweek for 13 hours each day.

I already own several jackets but was in need of a light jacket during a light rain kind of set up. Not my giant jackets meant to support me during the apocalypse. I could've easily went to a local W store and pick up the cheap coat I had in mind. I stumbled on this try before buying and thought, well alot of my wardrobe is Carhartt already, I mine as well try this. Man, this thing is roomy, it does great and keeping a reasonable amount of warmth in and the quality was well above my expectations. I had a $25 jacket in mind but ended up spending $60 and I'm happy I made the choice of going quality. I'm also a big guy, 6'2" and near 300lbs. I prefer loose fit clothing so I typically go a size bigger. The 3X for me is perfect but a 2X would've hugged my body just a tad more without compressing anything.

I got this as a gift for my son for Christmas. He is hard on his clothes. He also will try to wear sweatshirts in the fall instead of a jacket. It fit him great and don't have to worry about him not being warm enough

I had to return the first sweatshirt I purchased as defective. It was not stitched correctly across the top pocket. It was no problem at all they shipped me a replacement quickly and refunded the original with no issue. 3xlt fit my 6’5” 365 lbs husband perfectly. I would say it’s a loose fit.

I just recently got into Carhartt items a few months ago, they’re affordable and very warm. Most zip-ups that I have had in the past don’t have much insulation, but this one surprised me. I’m definitely going to buy this in other colors!

I bought this product for my brother as a Christmas gift. He absolutely loved it. The material is heavy duty and it’s extremely warm. Most days he uses this as his coat. We live in Maine and it’s January that should definitely tell you something about how warm it is. It arrived quickly even during the holidays and I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

It’s comfortable enough, somewhat warm, but the material feels chinsy. Probably because it’s B a 50/50 poly/cotton mix. I don’t know but I have only had it for a short time and it has 3 tips already. My 12.00 dollar hi vis hoodie is proving more durable so far. I have had problems with Carhartt being junky lately. It used to be you paid more because you knew it would last 3 times as long as something cheap. Not the case with this hoodie. The stitching seems to be holding up. That’s always nice when stuff does what it’s supposed to do. Too bad it’s made out of something a little more durable than kleen-ex
