This is a great versatility work shirt. In hot weather the light color still gives you a cool fit. The cotton material has a good weight ,and no issue with shrinkage when you get a bigger size. Overall sturdiness is what make Carhartt the brand I buy most.

The last 20+ years of my career were spent in IT as a developer/project manager. Prior to the COVID-mandated work-from-home event, I was required to wear business attire - suits and ties and that whole thing. Then business casual came along with everything except shorts and jeans allowed. During and after COVID, the mindset of my employer (a major U.S. bank) changed dramatically, and just about anything you were comfortable in and not revealing was permitted. That's when I became a Carhartt t-shirt fanatic. Extremely durable and comfortable. I LOVED this style; the buttoned neck is a bit different than the standard t-shirt. I particularly liked it because I wear a medic-alert dog tag necklace, and this style of shirt makes it more apparent I'm wearing something around my neck, where the standard style t-shirts hid that fact. This is important to me - I take certain prescription drugs that cause me to bleed profusely, so in an accident situation a first responder being able to see my medical needs from my dog tag is pretty important. Small thing, but important to me. Anyway, I highly recommend this piece of apparel from Carhartt. I feel confident you will love it as much as I do.

This style of shirt is super cool worn casually with some jeans, cargos, carpenters, or anything like that. Although not my application, it is definitely a great shirt if you want something to work in, it has pretty long sleeves, a nice pocket, and feels very rugged, yet still comfortable. The material at least on the black one does seem to get a bit linty but that's not really a problem of design or anything. I would definitely recommend this shirt but I would be cautious of the fit as many other reviewers said. I am a 5'9 man 170lbs pretty athletic build, and the shirt does fit very loose in a size small. That however is not a problem, as many want a baggy fit - it is just that the shirt is quite long and will likely bunch up around the waist which may not be the most flattering. I am actually considering cropping the shirt for style reasons but again, this may or may not be undesirable to you, I would prefer if it sat a little smoother and didn't bunch up. *** I usually wear mediums and fit perfect, the small for this shirt fits like a big medium for me*** If you have ever worn a uniqlo U t-shirt, the medium in that fits like this one.

This is a great T-shirt. Properly screwed together using genuinely heavyweight, preshrunk cotton. It’s tumble dryerable. My only observation is that it is an American 2XL, so a baggy fit. * This is not a criticism. * Just be clear, the sizes described in the table are accurate, and the t-shirt doesn’t shrink with normal washing. I will now order a size down. Isn’t it frustrating that quality has become so rare, that we compensate (ie buy a size up) because we now expect shrinkage. That is not necessary with Carhartt it seems.
