I work in the NYC Subways repairing the tracks and it's a rough and dirty job. I got tired of having my Jeans being shredded. I asked my colleagues whom also wear this and I finally pulled the trigger. These are my first overall purchase. I've worn it for four days at the time of this review. I am impressed on how comfortable it is. The material is ideal for my line of work. I chose Black since the dirt, grease, oil and dust will be less visible. Plus it looks great. I have to admit I ordered it a bit too long with the intent of layering in the cold weather. I have a short torso and long legs so I had to take in the pant legs a bit and tighten the shoulder straps to the max for a better fit. Its not perfect but it does not hinder my work performance. Overall still a great fit despite my error. Very comfortable, better than me wearing a pair of work jeans. I see myself getting another in the near future.

I dont often write reviews but hopefully Carhartt will address what could be good overalls and or save someone else the aggravation. The straps are just way way way too long. The elastic portion is almost like and after thought. I had to adjust mine up past the elastic and on to the duck material to make them work. (They are not designed with that in mind) . Without doing so either the crotch would be at your knees or i need a set of double D's too fill them.. The straps just makes no sense. Seeing other fitment pictures I figured I got a defective pair but NOPE. i ordered 5 different pairs trying to find the correct ones and ALL OF THEM had same issues with the straps. I normally have no issues with fitment and have average proportions typically being between large and xl. I am usually a 36/38 waist and 32 inseam in regular pants. For these the 40 x32 were good fit after modification. I Almost went 40x30 but worried how much they would shrink after drying. They definitely shrink quite a bit after drying so glad I stuck with longer inseam. The other issue is the leg zips. They want to turn to front and into knees. Luckily they don't end up on knees but is close. I would imagine using knee pads would suck and have them on the end seam when kneeling. I do plan to cut and resew the straps in the future but for now they working.

They are made very well when I purchased them I already new I was going to modify them to fit I'm a short fella.sholder straps are to long in the upper half.I have to have the fully zip up legs to get them on , this is because I'm a delivery person an have to take them off a on throughout the day and half zip legs don't work for me ,when you have to take your boots off an on it takes extra time and when your payed on commission, Try that 40 to 60 times a day gets into your time and wallet and lengthens your days a lot .that being said these are awesome coveralls had my last pair 25 /30 years be for the zippers give out they were well used!!! The rest of them are worn but they've already been repurposed. I'm not done them yet. Thanks.

Frustrated. The trap zipper on the front of the coverall gets stuck all the time. We actually have to get out the pliers when my husband gets home. I would return the coverall but he needs them for working outside all day in the winter weather. Everything else about the coverall is great.

Finally wore out of my old ones! The new ones are not comfy like the oldies lol, gotta break them in! Get 2 sizes bigger than you are so you have room inside for ur pants and hoodie!
