  • Classic Carhartt Quality and Great Functionality
These pants are great: Carhartt quality (stitching, zippers, material, etc.), functionality (the pockets and their placement are no accident), fit, and style. They have solid stitching, strong zippers, and material that doesn't wilt at the sight of something abrasive or pointed. They're not exactly summer material, but they're not too thick to wear on a hot day--maybe that has a lot to do with the cotton canvas material. They feel like a lightweight painters drop cloth, if you ask me. I can tell someone other than a fashion designer (that's a good thing, for purposes of my comment here) thought about the pockets. They're sized and placed practicably. I don't get much use out of the hammer/tool hanger loops, especially the larger one (the one on the right is wider than the one on the left). One of the best features of these pants is the fit. They sit where pants are supposed to sit (on a guy, anyway). I'm not sure what the proper definition is as far as "at the waist" or "slight at the waist." I just know I don't have to "part the boys and choose a side" when I want to wear these pants where I feel naturally comfortable wearing them! Lastly, the style is a good balance between "I actually do something for a living" and "I spend more time than I'd like in an office chair." I work at a place where I could be in a meeting with business-like folks one minute, and called out into the field at a construction site the next, and these pants live up to both worlds. Depending on the stiffness of your management, you might be able to sneak these in on business casual day with a nice polo or button-down. I own pairs of the tan, light-brown, and army green pants. The tan ones are the "fanciest" looking of the three and are really an off-white shade. The light brown pants are lighter than the picture shows, which isn't a bad thing. The army green pants are also lighter than the picture, not too far from the color of a used military seabag--I guess it's slightly muted olive drab. ... show more

  • My go-to CA Fall hunting pants
Size: 40W x 34L Color: Dark Khaki
These pants are well made, durable, and comfortable. I use them primarily for Fall deer hunting in California, where the typical temperature in mid-October is anywhere from 50-65 degrees, typically. These pants are durable. I've had 4-5 pairs for years and none of them have fallen apart, despite being subjected to trips, slips, falls, snares, snags, and other abuse while hiking/hunting through deep brush, scrub oaks, game trails, etc. The only critique or word of warning I have, which has been echoed by others, is that the waste runs small. You'll want to go one size up. If you're a 36 waist, order a 38 waist, and so on. The length is perfect, in my experience. ... show more

  • Great pants, not sized as expected, so measure carefully
Size: 40W x 32L Color: Dark Khaki
I did “try before you buy” and assumed that I could get the same size I wear in Levi’s and regular cargo pants. The size was way too small for Carhart. So I measured my waist and realized my Levi’s are lying to me and Carhart was honest. But I ordered them a little big, thinking that would be safe. Nope. Third time was the charm - and they were exactly my measurements. So, measure and use the table. I got them because I like the phone pocket vs a holster. ... show more

  • These are great pants for me!
Size: 33W x 32L Color: Dark Khaki
I've been wearing the heavier B11 for decades. And as those decades have passed I have been getting much older. I realized (I'm now 78) that I no longer need the B11 toughness...that I'm no longer a tough guy. So I did my Carhartt research and decided that the B151 pants would be good going forward. I just received my first pair and am very satisfied. My smartphone fits in the right leg pocket. My suspenders clip on properly. The fit is essentially exactly as the B11. The pants are a lighter fabric...which is nice...but I feel that the toughness that I need is there. So, my bottom line is that I'm going to order 6-8 more pairs of these, and then I'm going to try to outlive them. Cheers ... show more

  • The pants are great but be careful about the size
Size: 34W x 32L Color: Navy
I’m 5’11 and 170lbs. 32w will be my regular size but for this specific model, I have to go for 34w. Be careful about the size since it is different than the regular ones.

  • DANG, I love these pants
Size: 32W x 32L Color: Black
Good fit, comfortable fabric, just enough pocket space for my needs. I've only had them two months, but no quality or wear issues so far. If they hold up more than a year, I'll be even more impressed, because this fabric feels way too soft to be durable. I wanted something with extra pockets for work or street without looking like a Blackwater contractor; mission accomplished. I wish the phone pockets were a little farther forward so I'm not partially sitting on the phone, but otherwise no complaints. Great deal for around 40 bucks. Anything cheaper I've found to be garbage. Update after buying my third pair (more of a rant about sizing, so feel free to go back to the top and just buy them already): I've been a 32/32 for as long as I can remember. For reference, I'm 6' tall, 165 lbs. I've bought three pairs of these, all 32/32, and they fit perfectly. I wanted to try some cheaper options, so I used Prime Wardrobe to get six pairs of Amazon Basics and Goodthreads cargos in various cuts, both 30 and 32 waist. The 30s were a good 2" too big, and of course, the 32s were falling off. Had to send back all six. I've had similar experiences with Walmart jeans, but I thought it was just them. Here's the interesting part: An actual, no-kidding tape measure says it's 33.5" around my waist, including underwear and work shirt (which I tuck in). That means an apparently growing number of clothiers are understating their sizes by as much as 4 or 5 inches. (It also means I'm probably not actually the same size I was in college...) I've always scoffed at women's sizes (and plan to continue), but at least they're only fudging an arbitrary number. Men's sizes are supposed to be dimensions, for crying out loud! ... show more

  • comfortable and durable work pants, not too heavy, sized up waist one
Size: 33W x 32L Color: Navy
comfortable and durable work pants, not too heavy, sized up waist one. Have used these for years: winery work, to home repair, to hiking.
