It’s amazing how hard it is to find a bag like this. I’ve been searching for a long time for a replacement for my old lily bloom bay. This bag is nearly perfect. It’s a great size- big enough to hold a fair amount of stuff like a notebook or snacks. It’s not one of those super tiny little bags that aren’t functional. It’s not so large that it is overwhelming and super manly. It is well sewn and constructed. It has enough pockets for random little things. Like previous reviewers have said, at least one of them having a zipper would be a nice addition. The strap is long enough to not feel like it is choking me or the bag is sitting up too high. The strap is thick enough that it feels solid and you can kind of hide behind it a little bit, it’s not a dainty little strap. I’ve not had any issues with stuff falling out but I’m used to open top purses. The snaps are super strong if you need to use them. The color I got is a little more brown than wine and I do wish it was a little more purple. The canvas is thick and sturdy but not stiff. This is a great lightweight canvas bag for the women who work in the field. Anything you get on the surface wipes right off. I've had this bag for a few weeks and I love it. It has a few pockets to keep things separate but not so many you can't find anything. I can keep my wallet, phone, small makeup bag, and other girly odds and ends with no problems. It snaps tight and the snaps take some breaking in so I can tell they will last. It doesn't make your shoulder ache and can get tossed around with no damage. I even caught it on a fence and the weave is so tight there was no thread pull or snagging. It's very boxy however the plum color gives it a little touch of feminity. This bag from Carhartt might be as close as you can come. I got so many compliments on that bag! lol Anyway, this is a nice, heaver-weight lined canvas cross-body. I chose the Wine color for fall. It can almost take on a brown hue in certain light. The ticking pattern on the fabric interior is nice, with three pockets (two small one large). Got this bag in 2022 to replace an old WWII bread bag that I was using for a purse. This bags construction was very sturdy and the bad itself is a good size and shape. After 3 years of daily use/abuse, I just found that one of the snaps on the closure flap is broken, and repair is not possible. The bag can hold well with a single snap in place, but I am sure the excessive burden of being the only snap will mean it is destined for failure sooner than later. Aside, this bag is rugged, cute color, strap length is great. Just a little bummed about the snap and the upcoming doom. *Update: As of Sept 2025, the 2nd/last snap has broken off. The rest of the bag is holding up very strong, so I think that I will look into closure options and sew myself. Despite the snaps, the construction of the bag is still strong and shows very little signs of wear. Only fault to date of it's construction is the snaps. ... show more
