Since we will be in an apartment for another 6 months or so, rather than a house with some outdoor space for our two kittens to do some exploring, I have been trying to let the kitties get some fresh air and sunshine on our little balcony. But, after one event of one of them slipping out between the bars and walking over to our neighbor's space (mind you, we are on the FOURTH FLOOR), I was on a frantic search to come up with a safer option that would not give me another freakin' heart attack. This deck netting came in and was exactly as described and exactly what was needed. My husband installed it in under 30 mins all around the edge of the balcony, over the existing fence, and did not need any additional tools than what was provided.. other than a pair of scissors I guess. Surprisingly, I really don't hate the look of it. Of course, I did try to pick one that matched the color of the bars on the fence and wouldn't be too dingy looking, but I still figured I would have to sacrifice some of my outdoor *aesthetic* for miss kitty's safety. It truly blended in better than I ever even expected and you can still see out at all the treetops, as well as still getting plenty of sunlight into the apartment. Most importantly though, we have had no more escape-artist attempts and the kitty babies have been able to fully enjoy lots of outside balcony time judging fellow resident's dogs, daydreaming about playing with the birds, and gnawing on my (non-kitty-toxic) outdoor plants. It's starting to warp from being outside on my balcony, but otherwise it's been great. I wish it had 6' more in it, because I'm short on my balcony. It's not worth the price to not buy a whole other roll.

My dog is a 7.5 lbs. Maltese adult, the size of a newborn human. We have dangerous cast iron railing at the top landing of our second floor inside our house. This is typical of split lever ranch style houses built around 1979 or so. Our railing isn't built to todays safety code, the railing has openings/gaps in it that are too wide for children or pets to be safe around it. I was very concerned about the safety of my little dog being around this railing. I attached this netting securely to the top and bottom railing using many ties going across. The more zip ties I used the sturdier it held the netting on. The zip ties came with the netting which was nice. This netting is enough of a barrier & deterrent to keep my dog from trying to climb through the railing when someone rings the doorbell or knocks. My dog is a mature adult not a young puppy so he doesn't try to get into our out of things as much as a puppy might do. A determined puppy might eventually chew through this netting despite how sturdy it is, so extra monitoring and observation will be necessary if your dog is very young our very determined. However for our adult dog it is a perfect deterrent & barrier. I also might add that this netting looks 100% better than the cardboard we previously had temporarily attached to the railing to keep our dog from falling through.

My small dog was walking right through the opening in the fence. This netting is almost invisible on the wrought iron fence and she cannot get out. This is a lifesaver.

I have a vinyl picket fence installed which was perfect to keep my beagle in the yard. I recently adopted another beagle who happens to be extremely small and only weighs around 24 lbs. There were a few gaps in the fence that he was able to squeeze through and other areas that he may not have fit easily but still made me extremely nervous. The fencing was new so I didn't want to use ugly chicken wire or replace the entire fence. I thought I would give this a try and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to install, how sturdy it was and, most of all, that it didn't take away from the look of the fence. It also still allows visibility for beagle squirrel and chipmunk surveillance. :-) I initially bought only one roll to try and once installed I bought enough to cover the remainder of the fencing. It does take 2 people to install but, once done, it looks good and seems to be holding up. I did purchase additional zip ties to ensure a tight fit. Highly recommended!

This product was extremely sturdy. The product was easy to cut. I used a plain pocket knife. I hung it up with cup holders that have those hooks. Looped the product over the hooks. Pulled it tight, used another hook, kept going down the line pulling it firmly and snug until my project was complete. Completed this job on the top and bottom of the banaster, complete WIN for me. PUPS ARE GOING NOWHERE... this fence guard is a great product. I ordered it in white to match the woodwork. Unless u come really close, u cant even tell it is there! TAKE THAT YOU CRAZY HOA PEOPLE.. LOL

We bought 3 lengths of this safety screen to put on our deck so our toddler twin grand children can safely be we us while we enjoy sitting outside. The screen material is good - strong, easy to roll out and cut. However - the supplied wire ties are NOT GOOD. At least 10 broke - literally snapped off while we hand tightened them. Fortunately, I had some long nylon wire ties so we were able to finish the job. It was frustrating the supplied wire ties were not up to the task.

I live on an upper floor of an apartment that has a screened-in 15 foot porch. As time has passed, the screen has become extremely flimsy and lost its tautness. There's also a wrought-iron railing that was installed prior to the screen. I bought this fencing because of concern that my cat could easily slip through the railings and flimsy screen if she got carried away and tried to catch the birds and squirrels playing on the nearby tree. I read the reviews and decided to try this netting. It was exactly what I was looking for! This fencing (or netting) is so slick and easy to install, that I did it in the dark in 30 minutes, even with severe rheumatoid arthritis in my hands. They have made it easy using long cable ties. It's hard to mess up. But even if you did and misplaced it, it can be easily rectified. The fencing is very sturdy, and somewhat rigid. It can be cut to size and strengthened the closer the cable ties are placed. It also comes with screw hooks if the cable ties can't be used. LOVE this fencing!
