I have a 2004 KLR 650 and have been working on bikes for nearly 30 years. I'm no pro mechanic, but my Mikuni carb was dripping fuel from the float valve. In 1 week I've been beating my brain and couldn't figure it out. Turns out my float seat just couldn't seal anymore and being a pressed in brass fitting there was not way without tapping the brass and pulling it out. A Mikuni flat slide carb is over $500 and the Lectron fuels was nearly a grand. Getting a rebuilt was over $200 and some were trying to charge $600. Christ have mercy I was in a pinch and figured Id give this Chinese clone a shot. To my Suprise, it works like a charm. This is gonna be my temporary as Im going to upgrade and am looking at pros and cons on Mikuni HSR2 and Lectron Fuels Carby. This will get ya in a pinch or if you don't want to clean the system. 2 thumbs up on price and functionality. Will keep ya posted if anything else happens. ... show more

The float drain spits gas non stop don’t buy you’ll be wasting time and money. Only worked for me because I had another much older model and I just used the new pieces to replace the old ones. But the carburetor itself without any other spare parts will come in broken

    • Waste of money. Very unhappy, got dirty and wasted 3 hours on this product
Looks just like the stock carb. When installed fuel lines are larger. Gas runs straight through. Float stuck open. Adjusted several times and never fixed. Also the needle can’t be adjusted. I want store credit for the time I lost and the shirt I messed up for no reason

Final fit went together once choke was added the casting broke where the throttle cables mount. Along with opening up a hole to where the choke it from the opposite side...
