    • I gambled, and I lost
I took a gamble on this “economic” alternative to the pricey OEM carburetor, and I lost……badly. Don’t be cheap like me, get the OEM replacement carb., not this Chinese “equivalent.” The couple hundred bucks you may save, is NOT worth the gamble. I was not thrilled with this carburetor to begin with. It was REALLY hard starting when cold, and then RPMs hunted like crazy +\- 300 RPMs at idle when warm. When you let off the throttle, it seemed like it took a lot longer for the engine and 4-wheeler to slow down back to an idle/stop (that called hysteresis, I think?), as to the point that it concerned me and made me think that the carburetor was defective at first. I had around 150 miles on the carburetor, and of course it failed me this past weekend, while I was out on a trip (2 months in planning), in the woods with my kids and my friends with their kids, and I had to get the tow-of-shame back to camp. Spoiled the weekend, obviously. I am meticulous in my fuel quality, and fueling procedures as to avoid dirt/debris getting into any tanks (on the 4-wheeler and the red fuel tanks), and I also use Ethanol free fuel, so I know that the carb. failing was not a result of sloppy ownership. The fuel filter is also newer, as I replace that with every service. My confidence in this carburetor is shot. I will be trashing it, and coughing up the $500 for the OEM carburetor. Now, I am out the cost of this + and OEM carburetor. During the swap, if I see that somehow the fuel filter was the culprit, or it was indeed due to operator error, I will update and/or take down the review.     • This carburetor is the real deal!
After buying a $40 replacement carburetor that leaked gas as fast as I could pour it in I sent it back and decided to try this carb from GPA motors. I installed it and the Polaris fired right up! I didn’t even have to set the idle. So if you don’t want to pay Polaris over $500 for a $50 dollar carb (what a rip off) this is the one you want to buy. ... show more

    • Carburetor came with missing parts
The carburetor was missisng the throttle cable housing cover, gasket, grommet and screws. Its hard to use it with missing parts that are crucial. Disappointing.
